this clown keeps getting better with each possible opponent :rofl will Shannon accept a 3 week camp and 250k? :think
This would be ridiculous, even for the joke that is Deontay Wilder. Didn't this guy question what AJ had done to deserve a high ranking recently? I'll say it again - people with glass jaws shouldn't throw stones.
This fight will draw mostly ridicule. But the truth is its a fair test. Briggs still has good power and an iron jaw. He hasn't been stopped since Lennox Lewis. If Wilder can either take a few shots from him or stop him its says something about his power and chin. Don't get me wrong, would rather see Takam or Chisora. But Briggs would be better than a second Stiverne match, or a couple of the other rumored bouts.
Sigh, Wildmills nuts really do get in the way of your thought processes don't they. Briggs is so past washed up it is not funny. He has been smashing cans that even the cans that Windmill fights would have smashed and it will be a joke of a fight. How could you even think that this would be a fair match up in any way. This **** just has to be added to the Windmill shame file if it isn't already.. You wonder why most of us laugh at him, **** sake Briggs, short training camp on top of it as well.. What a joke your boys is...
If this happens, I hope Briggs levels him. I really want to get on the Bomb Squad, but his choice of opposition is making it difficult to be a fan.
Imagine Briggs KOs Wilder, then Wlad loses the rematch against Fury. Then Wlad starts stalking Briggs to get a mercy shot at his WBC belt! "Let's go champ!" Oh that would be epic!
Glasgov pulled out, Spkila fell through as well. Stiverne 2 would have been truly ghastly as would Wawrzyk. The only other viable option might have been Takam, and I am somewhat critical for that not even being considered. But we really don't know why. Briggs is definitely past it, but like he said power and jaw don't generally go, and those were always his best attributes anyway. Even when he was young he never had a defense. He's a fairly big name and his game, no denying that. Its not the best fight that could have happened, but its not the worst either.
How much can you blame him for this when several other proposed fights fell through? And Povetkin won't fight in January?
