For those unfamiliar Youri Kalenga is a CW contender who just lost a clear decision to Denis Lebedev in a very exciting fight (a FOTY candidate) Here is Wilder's next opponent getting outclassed and beat up in sparring by Kalenga, this in spite of the fact Youri is regarded as somewhat crude in addition to being 5 inches shorter and 40lbs lighter.

I don't think it's that bad when a CW beats up a HW. In the golden era and before it happened all the time and nobody complained about it then. :conf

    :deal

Wilder and Briggs soil their adult diapers whenever
    they think about fighting Povetkin!!

    :yep

It was Wilder that chose to fight Duhaupuss instead
    of Povetkin... lmao

Only watched the first two minutes, but Duhapas looked like he was going through the motions. Maybe to work on defense.

Duhaupas entered the WBC Top15 because of a gift decision against Charr.

You know Charr? He's the one who got KTFO by Povetkin and Briedis and stopped by older Klitschko.
Some of Charrs victories include gift decisions (against Pedro Carrion, Zack Page, Taras Bidenko) and he was lucky with Bakhtovs Injury (until then it was a close fight).

Duhaupas' greatest achievements in his boxing career have been that he gone distance with Erkan Teper and Francesco Pianeta.

In fact, it was most suprising that many people were taking Charr very seriously until his recent defeats.

No one should be given too much of a credit for defeating Charr. He may be a gatekeeper, but not the one, having defeated whom you receive a title shot.

So Wilder is really such a joke. Firstly, he takes Molina as his first defense. Shortly after he watches Povetkin vs. Perez and comments that he looks forward to fighting him... and selects Duhaupas :patsch

No personal disrespect to Duhaupas, but he's, to say the least, mediocre.

Some people believe that heavyweight is poor these days, but ffs, there are Jennings, Luis Ortiz, Ruiz, Glazkov, Pulev.. or at least someone like Szpilka, Ustinov etc.

There are pretty much enough fighters you may choose for your voluntary defense and get some credit for defeating them.

must be because Povetkin is an even bigger joke, roided to the gills with new specialties from the secret KGB labs under the Kremlin :think

Delahaupas is one of the worst title challengers of the last 25 years. Right after Molina.

Duhaupas is a terrible challenger. I have ripped into Wlad for fighting weak opposition like Pianeta in the past, but Pianeta beat Duhaupas, let that just sink in, he lost to one of Wlad's worst opponents.

Wilder in fighting Molina a guy who lost to Arreola and Duhaupas who lost to Pianeta, is dropping so low he is defending his title against the victims of some of the Klitschko's worst defences. In an era that is often called weak (though it is improving) he isn't even up to fighting some of the worst title challengers in recent years but picking on the defeated opponents of these awful title challengers.

Frans Botha und the Shannon Briggs who "challenged" Vitali were far worse than Duhaupas.
But Lennox and Vitali had enough credible defenses to get away with these guys.

Duhaupas was nearly knocked out by a 15-14-1 natural CW Jean Claude Bikoi who sports a highly impressive 26% KO percentage and who was 1-6 in his last 7 fights at the time and is 1-9 in his last 10 now. That lone victory amid all those loses was a majority decision over an opponent with a 3-5-1 record.

Wlad fought Botha, not Vitali... And that version of Botha as MUCH better than Duhaupas, it's not even close... Probably even as recent as 4-5 years ago Botha could have competing with, and probably beaten Duhaupas.

Kalenga is boxing impressively here. Seems to be fairly light though.
