The lead up to this fight is hilarious. You have the Brits hyping up an until recently mentally ill drug addled flabby pile of human wreckage in Tyson Fury, saying it'll be a schooling, so in theory, if Wilder beats a guy they think is top notch, and will school him, that will be an enormous win for Wilder, and he'll equal Joshua. All the while the legion of malicious and at times deranged Wilder haters that are denigrating Fury as a shell of a fighter, that Wilder deserves zero credit for. Oh what detached from reality propagandistic angle should I believe? How about neither, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
You're right, and I was actually thinking the same thing a few minutes ago, I might repost it in a better one.
Damn, I just realized, I had two windows open at the same time, and did post this in the wrong thread. Edit: Fixed, and put in the intended target.
If Wilder beats Fury it would prove nothing. It will just mean Wilder beat a fat drug addict who best win was running from a 80 year old Wlad. Anthony Joshau best win is almost being knocked out by a 98 year old Wlad. Wilder best win is over a 101 year old Ortiz. Neither Wilder, Anthony Joshua, or Tyson Fury are anything to brag about. What is funny is how no matter what Tyson Fury does or says these Brits will still support him. But I agree if Wilder knocks out Fury they will say Wilder ducked him until Fury was old or that Fury was never any good to begin with. If Wilder fights AJ and knocks him out they will have a excuse for that as well.
I think Fury will outbox him badly for the first half of the fight before his stamina betrays him. If Deontay still has energy and power at that point he will make it interesting and turn the tide of the fight. Only for the legendary gypo to turn the heat back up, go deep in to his back of tricks and close him out for a UD. Just my humble opinion.....
Wilder is going to get taken to school by head teacher Fury. Windmills may land on pastry chefs, football hooligans and pensioners. But not an elite professional super HW. Wide UD for the gypsy warrior.
I won't say that Fury can't out box Wilder but what I will say is that Fury can't out fight Wilder. At some point, a fight is gonna break out and Wilder is gonna wade into Fury's ass like a man on fire and every where he hits him is gonna hurt. In the neck, the top of the head, in the chest, it won't matter to Wilder because each blow will be more deadly than it's predecessor. Fury will fall and I wouldn't be surprised if Wilder broke his jawbone.
David Haye said Wilder was the hardest puncher he'd ever been in with from sparring with him. Said his punches gave him shooting pains down his spine for a week after.
David Haye was knocked out by 40 year old Carl Thompson. So him saying Wilder punched him the hardest means what? Shannon Briggs got knocked out in his prime by Lennox Lewis and yet he said Vitali Klistchko punched harder when Vitali couldn't even knock down a fat old Briggs. Larry Holmes once said Butterbean punched harder than Tyson so does that mean it is true?
Fury by late stoppage. Fairshake, be a good win for either whoever wins, but doesnt mean either is #1.
