    That's a genuine shame.

It's OK taking the pee but it isn't good for boxing, it isn't good that the WBC Heavyweight World Champion can't draw bigger audiences.

For all his faults, and there are many, I honestly believe Hearn would have turned Wilder in to a Star in the US, he would have turned him in to an attraction here in the UK.

Hopefully Wilder Fury does big numbers and the winner Vs the winner of Ruiz Vs AJ do big numbers and boxing and boxers reap the rewards for large audiences and reap the money generated.

PPV revenue would be closer to the same as a 200k fight due it being priced at $75.

Yeah. I'll bet the livegate was good though since they had so many Mexicans fighting.

Yeah, he needs a dance partner and I actually do find that surprising considering he knocks people out but it's the opposition that's the problem, like Breazeale, He isn't going to draw a crowd or much interest.

Maybe Wilder should take the show on the road, maybe if he gets past Fury then maybe go New Zealand and fight Parker for example.

Travel, go country to country and let boxing fans around the world have the chance to see him live, he might get cult like status, with respect he could be a bit of a "a freak show" and sell out arenas that way.

It's amazing, isn't it? Here we have a big, hard hitting KO machine, who is American, undefeated, and not entirely un-charismatic.... and still can't draw diddly. Some posters would prefer to just say it's a race thing, but truth us, DW's resume has NOT inspired much of anyone to want to be a huge fan. No one jumps to giants defeating cans...

The Fury rematch will be big the Ruiz/Joshua winner would be enormous.

I'm actually a bit baffled why Wilder isn't a huge draw despite his massive flaws and crappy resume. He's been gaining a lot of traction recently so it seems like it's finally time for him to start exploding, but it just isn't happening for some reason. Opponents? Possibly.

A crappy fight no-one really wanted to see pulled in a crappy figure. No surprise there. Wilder and Ortiz got paid regardless but we all knew this **** wasn't go to fly with even the most casual of casual fans.

Opponents and promotion I believe. This last fight wasn't promoted a lot I feel. And Wilder SHOULD be doing endorsements at this point. If he is, I sure as hell don't know what.

He does seem extremely lazy and/or clueless in that regard. Very entitled mentality as well, which doesn't help.

He really should have been doing some commercials or something 5-6 years ago. like, does he expect it to just all fall in his lap?

I agree, it's the opposition, the problem Wilder has is he needs Fury, AJ and maybe even a Whyte to generate that interest.

Also the promotion, he has been and is promoted poorly in my opinion.

Yeah and as for the race accusations, I've seen this mentioned on social media many times, well AJ right now and in the recent past Mayweather would be a problem to that theory.

Wilder didn't want that smoke when Parker was champ. Parker was calling for unification early on and Wilder was not interested. Since then Wilder starts shouting about unification despite never having had a serious conversation about it with any other champ or any intention to. Just keeps repeating it with zero follow through. His problem is the collective stupidity of himself and winkel.
