I don't know about the other drug, but 50mg of Atenolol (looks like the bottle says 25mg x2 daily) is basically nothing. I am very familiar with the drug and don't see how a dosage that low could be an issue.

 

This is good news for Wilder who did not want this fight in the first place. Wilder was afraid because Ortiz is a threat. Any fighter who signs to fight Wilder will get framed, the WBC has to protect Wilder at any cost. Not one of Wilder's winos from the alley tested positive for anything because they were not a threat. This give Wilder the chance to have another voluntary title defense, his 6th one. This is a disgrace. The doctor can't understand why VADA would call the blood pressure medicine a PED, it isn't..................so, for many more years now Wilder will fight winos from the alley. Wilder runs his mouth because he is a fraud. Joshua will knock him out, but Wilder will find a way out of that fight as well, he is afraid of Joshua. They will frame Joshua, so Joshua had better be ready.....................

 

It's simple, Ortiz is a threat to Wilder, so VADA and the WBC want to protect him. Explain how Stiverne got ranked mandatory without fighting anyone ranked? They did it to protect Wilder, but the networks to not want that fight.....................so Wilder claimed he wanted to fight Ortiz when he had not intention of fighting him, the WBC and VADA came to his rescue. VADA was not concerned about Wilder getting caught with pot...................that is not allowed in boxing...................double standard. A fight fans wanted to see and VADA stops the fight because Ortiz was taking blood pressure medicine?! Yes, I agree with Conte, VADA and the WBC are looking for something that does not exist, that's pretty much what the doctor said. Pretty soon VADA will ban fighters for chewing gum! There needs to be someone to oversee VADA....................tell Wilder to take the hair test.....................but he will not!

Blood pressure medicine is not a PED.................Conte said that they were looking for something that does not exist and he knows his PEDs! The doctor does not understand why VADA claims that blood pressure meds are PEDS, next will be chewing gum, or a candy bar.......................When will Wilder every fight a legit fighter? I think never!

I'd still like the fight to proceed. I know there will be excuses but there always are anyway, besides this will probably end a KO which is hard to argue against.

Undoubtedly Team Ortiz are negligent here. I do think it is likely that this is masking PED use, but it's not 100% so I'm willing to give Ortiz the benefit of the doubt until hearing further information.

 

It will be cancelled I think but technically it hasn't been cancelled yet.

 

The fight was for Nov 4th, they could re-test Ortiz with two random visits to quash any doubt. Including before the fight. He could use common sense and get info from VADA as to which blood pressure meds are acceptable to their standard and simply switch over to different bp meds. Not all of them have a diuretic effect and have the capacity to be used as a masking agent
