Wilder is the house fighter, the judges will be for Wilder, so Wilder knows that all he has to do is run, play it safe and be standing at the end for the fight, the judges will give the fight to Wilder, who knows? They might even put Byrd in as a judge and give Wilder every round. So, either Wilder by corrupt decision or Wilder gets knocked out. Ortiz should to to Wilder's body........................Ortiz has not looked good lately, perhaps he will have to drink several bottles of wine the day of the fight and sleep in the alley a week before? This fight will be corrupt, why? Because they an get away with it.................
There's only two possible results. 1) Wilder runs all night and outpoints Ortiz with magically redicsovered boxing skills 2) Wilder engages in a slugfest and one of Ortiz' slomo bombs connects and we get treated to "Dancing with the Stars" before Wilder gets stopped.
Only result that would surprise me is Ortiz by decision. I think I'm going with Wilder by stoppage, Wilder hurts him once and then puts up a masterpiece of windmill and makes Ortiz look like Don Quixote.
I'm torn between Ortiz KOing an off balance Wilder in a short lived thriller and Wilder relying on his athleticism and speed to out point Ortiz like he did Stiverne. Ortiz doesn't have the foot speed or punch output to get a clear cut decision, Wilder doesn't have the accuracy or timing to successfully trade with Ortiz in a war.
Wilder UD or tko late Bad match up for Ortiz. He won't take many if any risks once he feels Wilder's power.
Wilder has the tools to give Ortiz problems with his movement and size. Comes down to if he can establish his jab which he failed to do with Washington. If he struggles from range he'll need to take risks and then Ortiz will counter and KO him. Ortiz really struggled to cut the ring off against Scott. Wilder is much rangier and will have more weapons than Scott to keep Ortiz at a safe distance. I think Wilder will win a decision.
