Well PBC has the Thurman cancelation so maybe they can pony up that money for their bid. I'm interested to see how much the Russians will bid. They put down 23m for Wlad. I would only bid a little over half that like 12 for this but they may come in high around 15-17. We'll see.

I also wouldn't be surprised that Povetkins team won this, but stage it in NYC with the big Russian population there. Also note the Ruble took a massive hit vs. the US Dollar last 18 months. So if they bid in US Dollars (which they have to) they will want to generate revenues in USD as well .. which speaks for US location.

I might as easily be off but with all the talks about the PBC´s spendings, i really doubt they can afford to cough up much money.
I honestly doubt that Al will put out any real money.

I bet Al will be happy if the Russians win and Haymon can cash out on his % of the purse. Probably recouped all his investment in Wilder and then some.

Wow this is news to me, WBC changed rules for the purse split, seems the winner now gets an extra 10%:

The total amount of the winning bid will be divided as follows:

    · 10% of the total amount will be reserved in escrow and will be awarded to the winner of the fight.
    · The remaining 90% of the total bid will be divided 70% for champion Wilder and 30% for mandatory challenger Povetkin.
