As champion, Klitschko is entitled to 75 percent of the winning offer ($17,499,997) with Povetkin due the remaining 25 percent ($5,833,333).

Around the same. Nice try. Not 7 million. :hi:

I assume Sasha will make a ton of money in TV rights. I don't recall the numbers, but Sultan was able to retire based on the absurd amount of money he made from TV alone in his fights vs Holyfield and Wlad.

How is it a failure by Al? No one is really expecting Wilder to win. Why cough up the dough when the fight wont even likely bring back the money?
Al has no real financial obligations with this fight now, and he still gets paid.

You let the heavyweight belt holder lose a bid and not even get a great sum for it. That's bad negotiating and plenty of people believe he can win. Just check these message boards. I am not one however I fell Povetkin ko's him quickly.

It's pretty funny how everyone's laughing at Wilder. Povetkin isn't getting any dollars for a championship fight. He probably got paid more vs Wach than he will be against Wilder.

Wilder is not a draw. He didn't get screwed, he just has very few fans out there.

Lol Povetkin made more as the challenger than Wilder will as a champion.

I'll believe there's a fight when they both have gloves on and in the ring. Until then mere posturing.

Thing is Povetkin knows odds are his favor to walk away with the belt and then make all the money in the world afterwards. For Wilder, this will probably be his career high payday. He won't ever make a purse this big again.

Povetkin will end up earning more than Wilder. He gets the side money as well.
