How hard do you think Wilder hits .obviously he can hit but will his power carry as his imposition improves .this just about his power not chin etc.also power wise who do think in history had a similar dig?.

He clearly hits very hard, he may get ridiculed big time in here but that power alone has somewhat carried him to where he is today. So at any level that asset really cant be ignored.

Though alot of his biggest shots are not far off being classified as wild windmills. Hes not guna be able to use that shot freely against the elite of the division. But he has shown he has got huge power in other selections of shot. He will have this power throughout his career its just something some people have and it doesnt seem to go away.

    he has very good power
but his managment have put him in with opponents he can take huge windups to and get away with it.

he has fast hands/good snap/good body torque/long levers.
uses his legs for power and throws some hail marys from the back rows.

but for example dulhaupus was only hurt from a nose shot and not in much danger from any single wilder shot and i saw the same dulhaupus dropped from a single lead left hook from a small african /french trialhorse coming off about 5 straight losses.

i thought if a trialhorse could drop dulhaupus than wilder would ,
stiverne the same got dropped by rossy but not wilder.

sometimes though you can get used to your opponents power if they dont vary what they put on them.

i was starting to think it wasnt what it was advertised when he hit Molina and Duhapa repeatedly and they went late into the fight but the single shot he crusked Szpillka with was a statement

    Vastly overrated.

    1) took him nine rounds to stop Eric Molina, a guy who was stopped in 1 by Chris Arreola and ASHANTI JORDAN

    2) Could not drop or stop Stiverne, a guy who was stopped in 4 by Demetrice King and later dropped by Derric Rossy

Bascially his KO ratio is run up by the fact that he only fights cripples. I would say he has Tyson Fury level power--enough to get the job done but nothing special.

The thing is he didnt only hit him with one shot.
    He caught Szpilka flush plenty.
The shot that put him down was just one he didnt see coming.

He is clearly a big puncher, but he isn't the puncher he was made out to be when he was KOing journeymen.

Since he stepped up, his power hasn't seemed as impressive, he stopped blowing people away quickly. He hurt Stiverne but couldn't stop him, Molina who was blown away in 1 by Arreola took him 9 rounds, Duhaupas took him 11 rounds and Szpilka 9 rounds.

I think there a few guys that currently hit harder than Stiverne. Wlad, Haye, Joshua, Stiverne and Arreola based off the Molina fight. Parker may also have better or similar power, Price may hit harder as well, he did drop Thompson. Wilder is definitely a top 10 puncher in the current division though.
