Personally, I think Price and WIlder are both underrated here.

I think this fight boils down to Wilder's weaknesses, and the fact that Price doesn't seem capable of taking advantage. Wilder seems to be extremely crude at times, and we really can't tell if he has any stamina yet. To me, those are his biggest flaws, but I don't think Price can take advantage, especially of his possible stamina issues.

Price on the other hand seems to have even worse punch resistance, so I don't think he'll be confident enough to make this fight an ugly one. And his non-existent jab really leaves him out in the cold on this one.

    Wilder KO6.

I think Price would lay Wilder out... and I think that says more about Wilder than it does Price.

If Price were to land the same right hand on Wilder that he did on Thompson, Wilder would be out cold. Wilder refused to fight Thompson. Wilder fights winos from the alley.......................

Wildeq got this imo. I know he hasnt been tested but i think he is the one of these two is born to fight. watching price he looks like deer in the headlights.. Price is a great guy but there is no fight in him.

I would favor Price in that one, because I expect him to land the bomb first despite Wilder being faster.
I would like to see that one.

It really depends on if Wilder can tighten up his shots.

Thompson's success against Price came on the inside, primarily with excellent uppercuts and body work. That's not Wilder's game. Tony also had to absorb punishment to do it

I'm not sold on either man's durability and conditioning. Still, while a fragile fighter, Price's straight right hand carries enough payload to knock out Wilder and he throws it well enough that it can land inside of Wilder's looping shots unless Deontay tightens some things up.

I'd edge Price if he could stay disciplined into a boxing match, but Wilder's power and aggressiveness (combined with David's eagerness to fight) would likely turn this into a firefight early, and in that scenario, I could easily see either man knocking the other out.

    Flip a coin.

    Keep up your lies, Farmboy.

Wilder and GBP approached Thompson about fighting him after the first time he stopped Price. The Brit promoter held a rematch contract that forbid Thompson from fighting anyone else. GBP approached the promoter about buying him out of the clause and the promoter wanted a hefty six figures -- and was insistent that he wanted a Price-TT rematch -- so GBP moved on.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Wilder-TT happens in the fall.

at some point in the fight, wilder will kiss at the camera. its a terrible habit but he just can't help himself. everytime he sees the camera, he kisses at it. when this happens, he'll be wide open.

on a serious note, i have to second Rock's post. bout what i think as well.

I think we are assuming Wilder has a **** chin, based on a bunch of keyboard warriors declaring it. I can see him taking at least a couple of Price's shots.

What we DO KNOW is that Price has almost NO punch resistance. And he has absolutely NO Stamina. We also know that he just doesn't like for things to get messy. He expects to be able to sit on the outside and use his reach to throw the overhand or straight right.

We have no idea what Wilder is made of, but I'm willing to bet his stamina and punch resistance is at least as good as Price's. And I think he at least has something resembling a jab. If it gets anywhere close to ugly, I just can't see him going "Bute-like deer in the headlights" like Price did. One more thing... Price wouldn't hold much of a height-reach advantage on Wilder, so he is actually going to have to use some skill and movement in there. I can't see it. Sorry.

    :patsch

Wilder was nearly laid out by feather fisted Journeyman Harold sconiers.. there is also video of him getting laid out by a Russian CW while he was in the AMS... So we have actual evidence proving his shaky chin, as well as the fact that his promoters don't want to put him anywhere near a live opponent. Come on... 5 years and almost 30 fights into his career and the best he has faced is A-farce??? Something fishy is going on... seems to me that they aren't confident with Wilder and they are slowly building him up until it's time to cash him out.

Even if his chin is slightly better than Price's, Price's straight right is hard enough to knock him out. That punch also carries the advantage of being able to get inside of Wilder's hooks, which he currently wings out way too damn much.

Yeah, I can see your point on that one. Price has a pretty decent straight right. But is he really willing to load up on it against another taller fighter who has reach and a lot of pop in his punches?

Also, I think Wilder at least tries to use a jab, which to me is the difference in both of these limited (but still underrated) fighters.

I think the edge in power, chin, and stamina has to go to Wilder. I think the only thing Price has going for him is that he also has pretty decent power, and that he does punch straighter.

How do you think their confidence will play in this one? Do you think Price would be wary of anything messy? I do. Do you think Wilder would be overconfident to the point where it puts him in some potential trouble? I do.

All in all, I would love to see the fight. And although I think Wilder wins this one, I can admit Price has more than just a punchers chance. He would actually be dangerous.

Can we all at least agree that the promoters can save their money and not even hire judges?

Confidence would certainly play an issue, and if Wilder came out all guns blazing, Price may well crumble if he can't catch him coming in.

Agreed on the promoters, and one other thing's for sure- betting the under would be free money
