Thats how the old timers did it...even tyson. Most modern fighters dont do that , they think they are bigger than they really are and fight on paid cable before they ever even achieve anything.....
Even Wilders first title shot was on basic ESPN i believe. Wilder made it so that even poor kids in the projects could afford to watch him. That is something that is widely overlooked, but should not be taken for granted.

It's weird seeing Wilder's record of 40 fights, alongside the rest of the top in the division who have 20-25 fights.

You just wonder, who the hell has he been fighting... 40 fights. They better have been free to watch.

Whilst it's a nice story and sentiment you've come up with.

It's bollocks. He didn't get a major deal because he didn't fight anyone and looks like **** when he fought bums.

Well for most of his fights he had to pay me to watch them.

Chris Areola was a solid win, the one round destruction of Malik Scott is highly overlooked....of course he got A-Force outa there quicker than anyone else....but thats how it goes with the Euros, we hype them up as the second coming of Joe Louis until they get KOd then all of a sudden they are abandoned by their media and fans and on to the next.. same thing will happen to Usyk, se thing will happen to Fury. Mark my words.

    This

The Bodybuilder jock riders already jumped ship and clinging on to Tyson Fluffies nutz....both "won" against a glass chinned shot WK who in his abolute prime was waxed by genuine ham and eggers while Fluffy engaged in the worst heavyweight title bout in modern history throwing 2.1 punches a round and the stiff as a board Weightlifter went life and death with that Mummy WK.....Tripple can crushers GGG and Kovalev were exposed the first time they stepped up.....KO'ing Heavies in sparring but being dead afraid walking down a junior middle or flat out quiting from body shots.....the new great Euro hope Usyk has not even fought a live body at Heavy yet, is already at a advanced age, was lit up by no hoper Bellbum and according to forum gospel is now the new ship to jump on.......the irony.

    No. No it ****ing isn't.
The most impressive thing about that fight is that Wilder won with an injury. Proving his big heart.

It's a **** poor win on a résumé tho, not to be bigged up in a debate.
Yeah, coz it was a blatant dive.
Again, yeah. He's 1. The best puncher he fought, 2. At the end of his career.

I'd be worried if he didn't
You say this but care to give us an example?
    Who was hyping Harrison up?
I'll give you guys like Price and Joshua
But when you look at it the two best HWs of the last 20 years are European. And one of them has a case to be the actual second coming of Joe Louis...
Please don't ever ever ever compare A Force to Usyk again.

That's blasphemy, and you know it. What Usyk has done at CW > Harrison's career x10.
Usyk will dominate HW and you'll have to deal with it.

    Good post.

Two points: It's "scuba" Scott Malik and A-farce. But other than that, spot on.

Yes Usyk can fight all the Carlos Takamas and Tyron Spongs and people like you will claim he is 'dominating' the HWs.

Some men, you just cant reach

It's amazing how it all paid off for Wilder, now he's an international superstar who does 1+ million PPV views per fight with multiple high-profile athletic company and beverage endorsements to boot.

    Oh wait...

Wilder is dangerous for any heavyweight out there won the fights people saying that he can't his record 41 Kos say's a lot . Just the fact that Fury didn't rematch an show the world he won the first fight shows that he a bit worryed didn't man up .
I like it when a boxer got the lose but believe's that he won an has the rematch first not scared at all just full of pride .
Since that fight Wilder Fury has showed that his pride is week , an if I can cee that Wilder can smell it .
If Wilder fought nobody's how come Fury couldn't KO Wilder ay . Stop saying that Fury won . Other wise OTTO just beat Fury organisation broke rules for not stopping the fight on that bad cut , but Fury won . Fury an Wilder was a draw .
Can't wait Wilder will prove everybody who has dished him wrong man Wilder will hit Fury so bad an hard his two brothers will feel the hit , the round Fury gets KO'd his father will feel it in his heart . True as

Carlos Takam would be Wilder's 4th win and Ruiz's second...
