I'd still rather see Joshua against Wilder as opposed to fighting the cherry picker Hrgovic who got a robbery decision against Zhang. If Joshua fights Hrgovic over Wilder or Zhang I would start questioning his promoter "Eddie Earn" rather than conning the fans and milking a world title make your client the real money fights.

Why change a winning formula...

AJ's been willing to fight Wilder at a suitable moment for the majority of his career whilst Wilder has always claimed he wants it and done everything possible to make sure it doesn't happen, then blaming Joshua.

Wilder's always got credit from his moronic sycophants for this - why not just do it again?

 

On a certain level he can't win...

Fight Wilder and it'll be "why's he fighting this exposed fraud and not the most avoided fighter in the division in Hrgovic?".

Fight Hrgovic and it'll be "why fight this guy who hasn't done much instead of fighting Wilder who he's been avoiding for years?"

But...

Simply put, Hearn wouldn't be doing his job if he let him chase the Wilder fight, for two reasons:
1) Wilder's never really wanted it and probably still doesn't - why waste time trying to make a fight that won't happen?
2) Wilder is irrelevant - without his WeBeCorrupt title and with his ranking positions corrected by the schooling Parker gave him, he doesn't advance Joshua much up the pecking order for future title fights.

Wilder's a sideshow attraction at this point - the only reason he was ever anything else was his fortune in getting a soft title belt and a super soft set of defences.

Wilder reckons if he shouts loudy he might get a few million more for another fight or at least keep himself current, why would Wilder not make excuses, what has he got to lose.?

I wish Deontay would retire, he is yesterdays man, if he is allowed to connect by second tier fighters his right hand is a bomb and causes devastation, however those on the higher tier have the plan to defuse Wilders bomb, will stick to that plan, and even if he lobs the bomb the top tier generally will survive it.

 

It wasn't a robbery I had Hrgovic winning by 1 point.

Hrgovic surviving bombs from Zhang and coming back late showing heart and a chin to win a close decision vs Zhang.

Is alot more impressive than Wilder landing a pathetic 36 punches vs Parker and losing 12-0.

I'd rather see Joshua vs Hrgovic any day of the week Wilder doesn't deserve a big fight after that performance.
