Check this out, it was also known that before the Wlad fight that Ortiz was the mandatory. He also has another mandatory challenger ( can't think of his name) but there is no problem with those gents getting kicked to the curb and I honestly think that Wlad would step aside for a Wilder and AJ fight. Hearn don't want that. He tried offering Wilder a bum attached to a few million to keep him on ice but Wilder told him to fold that crap up and sit on it. Wilder wants that fight. Joshua will fight anybody. It's Hearn holding up the show and I can understand why but he is the one who's doing it.

 

The question is Wilders drawing power. With a good showing against a TOP contender Wilder vs AJ would bring in far more for both fighters. Without that Wilder will have no choice but to accept he is the B side and simply make the fight or don't make it.

Either way AJ will be making great pay days from now on, with or without Wilder because he stepped up in less than 20 fights and fought a dude that was dangerous in old Wladdy.

There is no question about Wilder's drawing power, that fight sells itself. UK vs USA heavyweights. Both knockout artist. Nobody cares about what he did in twenty fights. It's not about who has the most drawing power at this point because that fight can be hyped to the max with the possibilities that it has. All Wilder needs is a serious promotion behind him and this fight can be mega huge. AJ have been hyped in the UK since the Olympics. He has had a long run of being built up and not losing has helped greatly. Over here, we heat up fast and with the proper promotion, there is no telling how big this fight will be and it won't be all AJ.
