A fight against AJ for Wilder would have set him up financially if he lost, and if he won would have had all the belts also, now the cash cow that was AJ has been taken to the slaughter house, that financial and career bonus has been lost for Wilder.

If AJ now decided to hang up his gloves, he will be able to live in the height of luxury till his dying day, courtesy of those mega purses.

There's actually no irony at all. You just said something about Wilder's career that's completely unrelated to his Twitter post.

I get that but put yourself in Wilder’s position. He felt disrespected for the entire negotiations with AJ. 41-0 with 40 knockouts and he was never given close to a 50/50 split in that fight, all while being mocked by the majority of people for even thinking he deserved that.

It's a point worth making. Wilder's had twice the fights and has half the resume of AJ. If Ruiz is some kind of joke, what's it say about Deontay that he hasn't beaten three better men than him in 40 fights?

Others have already thoroughly covered how laughable it is he implied he's the true champ, so no need retreading old ground.

Joshua was moved faster because he had a legitimate am career; it’s not rocket science. And no, he doesn’t have twice the resume as Wilder.

I alluded to Ruiz being Joshua’s second best opponent before the fight. I never thought he sucked. Moreover, yesterday’s fight suggests that Joshua’s previous opposition may not have been so spectacular.

Schmeling, that version of Douglas, Joe ****ing Frazier, Riddick Bowe and even that version of Young aren't worse than Ruiz, wtf are you talking about. Some of those fighters are ATG HW's.

Schmeling would be a cruiser today. Moorer beat Holy. Norton beat Ali at the ripe age of what, 29?

Ruiz might just be better than them. Might even viciously knock them out.

Shows the level in class from the fighters. I was shocked to see fury speak so politely of Joshua kind of expected it from wilder though. I do find it funny that Wilder used to talk a lot about Joshua to get more exposure doubt he can say much now. There will be a rematch and I expect Joshua to be completely different. He hasn’t looked great in the last few fights, I don’t anyways agree with parting ways with your trainer after a loss but he needs some fresh ideas.

Wilder is a throwback to old times, he is a Stone Age man, a backwards brute controlled by primal instincts but people don‘t understand that that‘s exactly what we as fans love about him.

I wonder what AJ and Eddie Hearns would have said if Wilder was the one who lost? AJ was already criticizing Wilder for taking on Fury when he was less than a 100% and gave no credit at all to both fighters for getting in the ring and putting that AJ Big Money fight at risk. Wilder is simply giving it back now.
