This is a good fight. Good for the fans, good for both boxers, and good for boxing in general.
Let's not forget that AJ has only been beaten by two boxers; one is Andy Ruiz and the other is the future ATG.
Andy Ruiz has proven and shown that he can take a punch (he hasn't proven and shown that he can take a Wilder punch).
I respect Andy Ruiz probably more than the vast majority of forum members.
Eh, Wilder... I'm afraid that every one of his victories will be contested (I also count the eventual victories over AJ and Andy Ruiz), until the "big dog" wins, which are currently: Fury, Usyk and Joyce.

I just fundamentally disagree with you.

Not a mismatch, but Andy has to be much more aggressive than he’s been in recent fights. He can’t win from the outside, so he’s going to have to maul his way in. He will outweigh Wilder by 40 pounds and will need to lean that on Deontay, who needs room to swing. Could go either way.

    There is no flawed interpretation.

He’s the most dangerous HW on the planet, due to his attributes and his mindset.

    He could blast anybody out.

But due to his flaws, and the fact that we’ve literally seen him struggle with low level fighters, you can’t be certain of a victory over anybody.

    Yes.

    He’s very exciting.

    He’s very dangerous.

I can’t wait for this fight.

If he wins, we’ll hopefully see an AJ fight.

Ha. Wilder will try and fight Fury again. I don't think we'll ever see Wilder v AJ sadly.

    I hope not.

    I wouldn’t watch a fourth instalment.

This although somewhat speculative is very good reasoning Kudos!
Although Byrd also lost weight quickly & shed muscle, so that is much different, & Toney also used steroids.
I do not know if Ruiz would be "sick" at 200-but he could weigh ~ 220 in ring with rehydration,-but if you mean that he would might seem drained even without being very low body fat, given his whole history, good chance he would!

It's not a mismatch but Wilder will be a clear favourite.

If Wilder get's wild (sic), Ruiz has very fast hands and is a good counter puncher so that would be the way I think he might have some success otherwise I think it's probably going to be a Wilder KO in the mid rounds. But Wilder is no masterful boxer with air tight defence like some people on here seem to think, he's very hittable so I wouldn't totally write off Ruiz.

Why does Wilder have to be on the Tyson Fury path? Can’t he fight someone and be on the path to Usyk instead? No one wants to see Fury vs Wilder 4

Wilder and Ruiz have six mutual opponents, four of which weren't complete bums. All fought Wilder when they had fewer miles on the clock. Wilder did a better job on all of the non-bums (Morales, Liakhovich, Arreola, Ortiz) and it wasn't close.

This isn't to say that Wilder will win because he's beaten a variety of opponents in better fashion but it's a strong indicator.

Ruiz has the better win in the form of AJ. Wilder has Ortiz, which Ruiz cruised to an easy win.

If Wilder hypothetically has a 90% chance of victory, is that a mismatch? I would say yes. I expect Wilder to outbox Ruiz, as well as KO him.

I only recall two Wilder fanatics referring to him as a masterful boxer, virtually no one believes that. But at the same time he's not "very hittable". Arreola hit Vitali more than he hit Wilder. Fury hit Wlad more than he hit Wilder on the backfoot. Austin, Arreola, Charr, Helenius, Jennings, Adamek, Wach, Stiverne, Kownacki, Ruiz, Chambers, Joyce, Scott, Hammer, Martin, Chisora, Whyte etc. all proved to be more hittable than Wilder when fighting mutual opponents.

Why are you dodging my question? Is it because you are going to look foolish if you try to answer it?

Again, aside from Fury, who came close to decisioning Wilder?
