I don't see Wilder keeping him from coming inside and landing. I think Wilder could be like RJJ. Those punches from Fury didn't seem all that powerful but they sent him down. The Helnius fight didn't answer anything about his chin. I think it would be a great fight. Ruiz can and will get inside and test his chin. If it holds up I think Wilder catches Ruiz like he has done to everyone else.

How is Ruiz going to waddle inside and do damage if Wilder uses the same tactics from the Stiverne 1 and Arreola fights? Wilder doesn't even need a KO or KD's to win here. Fury also punches significantly harder than Ruiz.

I disagree, 2018 Ortiz (let alone prime Ortiz) would put on an absolute clinic against 2022 Ruiz.

The same way he did against AJ, Ortiz, Parker.

What has Wilder done that makes him this boxing defensive guru to keep Ruiz of him? He has been outbox by C level guys many time , before his power punch bailed him out.

What are you basing Fury punching 'significantly' harder than Ruiz on?

Thing is Wilder won’t overlook Ruiz and go guns blazing with short punches. Wilder is just gonna stay on the outside until the right hand comes. There’s also a very high chance Ruiz will come in out of shape.

Andy Ruiz Jr is tailor-made for Wilder. There is only one possible outcome, but still it's an okay matchup since Ruiz is considered a top ten contender.

A mover like Sanchez or Usyk would be very difficult for Wilder.

One fight I've been wanting to see for years and hope happens in 2023 is Wilder-Joshua.

That's my point about Fury-Chisora III; totally useless and unnecessary fight.

It’s so many wrongs with you post, Andy is taller than 5’11, he’s 6’2 and he have pretty fast feet and definitely not a light puncher, I sparred with him and he is way faster than he looks.

Wilder is faster and will probably win but it’s no mismatch.

Ruiz Jr will take a dive like Heleanus.

PBC simply won't allow him to derail the Wilder cash out fight against Joshua.

Take away the KD's and it isn't debateable.

I had Ruiz by a point I think, Ortiz from a few years ago wins that easily

Ruiz is an aggressive front foot fighter but failed to stop 15 of his 37 opponents (59% KO ratio)

    0-3-1 Alcaraz, 2-2 Lopez, 5-8-5 Morales, 6-4-3 Herrera, 5-6 Johnson, 9-4-3 Fonseca, 26-6 Liakhovich, 17-14-1 Godfrey, 37-11-1 Zumbano, 21-2-2 Lawrence, 21-0 Parker, 32-9-1 Johnson, 22-1 Joshua, 38-6-1 Arreola, 33-2 Ortiz

Ruiz has one notable stoppage win over Joshua and in fairness is the only man to stop him thus far

Fury (has primarily been backfoot, 70% KO ratio) sparked Nascimento (only time in 40 fights) broke Scott's eardrums, stopped Cunningham (only time in 40 fights) Chisora 2 (backfoot) Hammer (backfoot) Wilder x2 (only man to do so) and Whyte (backfoot, one punch)

Ruiz is a natural counter puncher with quick hands and a good chin. Wilder is going to sleep him but it's not as big of a mismatch as zero defense glass chinned Helenius. I say it hits at least round 7.
