Purchasing Wembley for what? introducing an NFL team to Britain? or getting into owning a Premiere League team?

Seriously? Is that backed up by numbers or just a general feeling you have?

With America having its own prominent sports you wouldn't expect it to be the case but from an outsiders point of view it does seem that football is growing over there, but not to the extent that it's the no. 1 emerging sport. That's a pretty big deal if so.

Football will grow everywhere eventually, there is a reason it is the most beloved and biggest sport on the planet, its a wonderful sport. Every country that has a go eventually falls in love with it and America is beginning to. The MLS is exciting.

He won't move Fulham FC to Wembley so it's all on the basis of an NFL franchise

Of course it isn't serious. All of these fanboys and LDBC members on YouTube defending this absurdity is just that, absurd. This is NOT how business is conducted in realityland.

Eddie Hearn is first and foremost, a promoter, but boxing is a business in the end of the day and nobody just throws out offers with a forced short time of agreement, then refuses to offer details or assurances of the financing of the offer, and then refuses to meet in person or otherwise to discuss it. Nobody does that. Unless of course...it's fraudulent.

    Here's what I think happened...

Wilder was sat at home In front of twitter, reading folk laughing at him from all angles, getting wound up about this fight and how popular AJ is and how much richer he already is and how much attention is on him in comparison, along with feeling disrespected and a little envious.... His anger built and built. All of a sudden.... he jumped up threw a windmill combo, screamed bombsquad as loud as possible, thought to himself.. Fk this, I'm the man. You do as I want and my team are surely going to have my back here.. Yeh, I'm deontay Wilder.. I got this...

Sends mail to ed, aj and rob with an absurd offer, he's sure his team has his back here... Feels rather proud of himself and can't wait to tell his team what a shrewd move he's made...

Only to find out nobody is going to back that nonsense and his team feel so embarrassed about this they can't meet Eddie now because they all feel a bit silly and there's no 50 mil as donk said to talk about... Hence the cancellation of the meetings etc....

    Lol

I actually feel a bit sorry for Wilder, too many of his fans are playing into the hands of his Management and as a result he is going to continue to get paid far less than he should be getting. We keep hearing how Al Haymon and co been around forever, promoted biggest fights and fighters and 50mil would be easy for them to get, yet they continue to pay Wilder small purses. Do not mistake this for some defence of Hearns because i am sure he would do the same if he could get away with it. Problem is he cant because boxing in UK is very mainstream and the Boxers become celebs which can be annoying but also protects them from being exploited with low purses.
If you really loved boxing you would not be defending either management team. If either of them really wanted this fight more than they cared about maximum profit it would have happened by now or atloeast be well on its way to being made.

Haymon and Finkel could definitely put up 50 million for this fight. It might not be the best business decision but it's their money so whatever

Lol you know that could well be exactly how it went down,Hearns latest interview saw him facing the camera and saying “Deontay you’re being mugged off by your team”he even said he’d be earning ten times what he is now we’re he fighting for Hearn and that’s gotta hurt if you’re Wilder.

SMH at the reporter who said he thinks PBC has been very successful you think reporting on a sport you would know more about whats going on with it.

These journalist trying to push a narrative that there is a split between AJ and Hearn is laughable.

Nothing Hearn said in that interview was unreasonable. That's standard stuff for a promoter wanting to make a fight.

The idea that AJ can just agree to a deal without seeing what the deal entails is absurd
