Wilder saying the right things. AJ not so much.

Talk is meaningless. While Wilder has been talking about fighting people, Joshua has actually been doing his talking in the ring. He's fought Wlad and Takam in his 2 last fights which are better than anyone on Wilder's resume.

You say AJ needs to be on the same page and take the challenge, well how about Wilder get on the same page as Joshua and do what is required to secure a possible fight instead of just talking about fighting people who are decent actually fight someone decent.

Wilder wants to jump the queue ahead of Joshua's possible mandatory and another unification fight in Parker which Hearn has said is the direction they are leaning towards. If Wilder wants the fight maybe he should actually do something to earn it other than fight has beens and journeymen.

 

It is the best fight in the division for Joshua, which is why Hearn is saving the best for last. They fight now it's just another unification fight but if he waits until all the belts on the line he has something special he has a fight of the undisputed heavyweight title.

Hearn wants Joshua to be a star in America, winning the undisputed title vs Parker in the UK won't do it. But the undisputed title perhaps in Vegas if he can get a casino interested will be Joshua's best chance to tap into that huge US PPV market.

 

Just because he calls someone out doesnt mean he should accep the challenge.

If Wilder didn't hold a title people would be asking who has he fought to get a shot at AJ. Wilder holding a title doesn't change the fact that he has no name on his resume which makes you take notice.

Wilder is no further ahead in the queue than Parker is.

 

Wilder has a lot to say from the safety of America, when he over watching the AJ Wlad fight he didn't say a word. Big mouth idiot.

 

Half of me wants to see this fight immediately and the other half wants to see Project Wilder fail ( not get his cashout paycheck )

From what I remember and it was on this board, after the Pole got popped everyone was looking at the Top 15 to see who could be next. Only guys who didnt have a fight scheduled, or didnt just fight around that time were Bryant Jennings and Carlos Takam. I remember I made a case for Jennings ( Wlad fight could be a gauge, he s American, always shows in up in shape, etc )


Yet they put Arreola right back in the Top 15...just for the Wilder fight...Jennings and Takam we re too damn scary for Beyonce..

Also you can see how great Wilder is from trying to make the Parker fight.
That belt would be good leverage, too bad AJ will have that around his waist next year

Wilder cant pay him. Parker cant pay him. They make around the same amount, 1M per fight. They are equals LOL

 

Talk is cheap. Maybe if Wilder beat somebody good Hearn, Joshua and the boxing public would take his "challenge" more seriously.

 

Maybe Hearn and Joshua just simply think "screw Wilder". Wilder controls nothing, hasnt got the money, hasnt got the backing and hasnt got the fans to sit down and demand anything. All power is held by Eddie and Anthony. Wilder and his team have not seen fit to show Eddie or Anthony Joshua any respect including calling him a juicer. And all of a sudden is banging his drum screeching and demanding. Maybe AJ and Hearn just think "screw Wilder". Maybe they are just guna leave him hanging for a while.
