It just seems like a weird attitude from Wilder.

Like he legit seems more interested in talking trash than ACTUALLY making the fight.

If he really wanted the fight would he be making statements like this?

We all know Hearn doesnt want this fight, and Femi allows Hearn to dictate to him his fights instead of being in charge of his own destiny.

Thats the saddest thing about this whole debacle. Femi as a big black man with millions in the bank, should be in charge of his own destiny. Deontay is.

I'm a disappointed in him. I'm an ardent Wilder supporter myself. I realize what his perspective is, but it was not easy for Burke, it was not easy for Johnson, hell it wasn't even easy for Don King. Wilder isn't the first man to, at least from his perspective, be unfairly treated by a champion, a system, or a promoter.

Suck it up Mister Wilder and make Anthony Joshua kiss your knuckles.

Maybe Tyson will win and go after Joshua in the first ever all UK HW throwdown for all the marbles. Hopefully Wilder's still pursuing uni and just means that particular contract/date isn't worth anything to him, but it sounds like he wants to let it go and wait for Josh. I don't want any waiting. If it's to be delayed until 2020 Wilder should be calling AJ a ***** until 2020.

Thank god for that, it wernt guna happen anyway was it. Atleast we now know that Wilder is either a ducker like alot of people suspect and his resume suggests or he is just so deluded he actually thinks he is a joint A side in all this. I read the proper interview this is off and whilst he says Joshua does not want to fight him on the 13th April 2019 he has a signed contract to do just that very thing sent from Anthony Joshuas promoter. When you dont want that fight sending signed contracts is a very wierd way of getting out of it.

Wilder and Finkel have been playing this from the start, 24 hours to accept offers without giving any details other than money? Whats that about? Refusing to attend meetings? Whats that about? Dragging their feet until the Povetkin fight happens and then saying they were just about to sign the contract? Whats that about? Then when offered April they say they no longer like that contract, now they want 50-50 and a rematch clause but wont deal with Hearn and hes walking away from the fight? But its Joshua that dont want the fight?

Joshua turned down 50 Million to fight in America, he said he would when he never expected to be offered it and when he was he got his pants pulled down and had to say no because he wanted to fight in the UK. Also the offer to Wilder for 15 flat million isnt great, Hearn can give Wilder more and still do well out of it and he should do. But other than those 2 things that can be hurled at Hearn or Joshua anything else i read or hear getting thrown at either of them is usually shot down with facts from either Hearn or Joshua.

Or Wilder is just putting the heat on Matchroom to put in a better offer in which case just ignore the above.

I think we could probably all agree that they are both avoiding each other.
Frankly I'm bored of it. It has put me off both of them

This fight could have been made a long time ago, had Duckroom decided to offer a reasonable purse split(which they have normally offered to their opponents) to Wilder and the fight would have been made. 60/40 is what Wilder originally asked for and instead they sent back derisory flat fee offers of 8 million and 11 million for a unification fight which Eddie believed would earn revenue greater than Tyson vs Lewis.

Meanwhile AJ asked for 50 million and subsequently his demands were met and then some, yet the goal posts where moved.

Even AJ fans should know who really is to blame now. I like and respect AJ as a fighter but Eddie Hearn and Joshuas personality are beginning to rub me up the wrong way.

This. Wilder was wise to move on. After the Wlad and Takam fights I was certain that Hearn wasn't going to match Joshua with Wilder for any amount of money until maybe 2020 or later. Joshua looked really green in those fights and has a lot of wholes in his defense. Hearn wants to make some more money off of Joshua for a few more years before risking him against Wilder, but if Povetkin comes in top form and manages to find his range I can see Povetkin possibly beating Joshua. Hearn's father even said that Wilder isn't worth the risk for Joshua at this time in his career even if he could make $50 million, since one punch can destroy the Anthony Joshua brand and that Joshua can take on easier challenges and still make big money for several years before taking such a big risk with his career.

AJ fans have been brainwashed by Eddie who plays the ''I'm just a geezer lad like you, trying to give you what you want'' when in actual fact he is a privately educated toff who is a professional con artist. So don't expect any sense or integrity from those lot.

Eddie has done a number on every single one of them to the point they all have become his mouthpiece.

I have to give Hearn credit to be honest, he knows his audience well I give him that. He knows how to add in the same jargon that appeals to his fans who consist of football louts and those big bellied borderline alcoholics you see leaving the pub at 7pm every evening.

So these type of people are more likely to believe him over individuals such as Al Haymon, Lennox Lewis, Carl Froch, Tyson Fury, Evander Holyfield, Frank Warren, Shelly Finkel, Rob Mccracken.

He doesn’t need him, at least right now

He beats Fury, stock goes up regardless of what people think

As long as he fights the best guys out there while AJ avoids making this fight, it makes AJ look worse

Call somebody out and make it out like they have been for years.
Then call them a ducker before they even get chance to respond.
Laugh off perfectly normal contract offers.
    Demand too much.
    Call them a ducker again.
Start questioning the integraty of the rivals promoter.
Be really akward to negotiate with.
    Do more ducker shouts.
    Blame the other side.
Refuse to work with the other side even though they did all the work.
    Walk away.

Yeah its not like we havent seen this trick used before in the sport. And its usually done with somebody with history of not fighting the best even though they claim to be it and they usually have a bit of a **** poor resume.

I honestly think if AJ wanted it Hearn would back down..I think Joshua has turned into a long term money man and a bit to much business instead of wanting to fight Wilder which is a big risk for him..I think he's lacking bottle here
