Al and Showtime just love ruining rival PPV's don't they...They did this with Mayweather-McGregor, putting it just before Canelo-GGG to hurt the PPV sales and take the PPV crown instead. And now they are doing a similar thing, taking the limelight away from a great fight by promoting their own in the same week. Disgraceful. And what's worse, BT are doing BOTH fights. They won't be particularly pleased either.
Hmmm you might be right. I was thinking how Hearn waited to announce Joshua/Povetkin so it would get all the attention but Fury and Wilder can't just set up a press conference and expect all the media to show up like for Joshua. Fury and Wilder will need to take advantage and piggy back off the media attention for GGG/Canelo.
Maybe they've finalised a deal with a Vegas casino for the fight venue so they want to hold the press conference there. Time to do that is when the maximum number of boxing press is in Vegas.
