He must of asked at some point, but clearly they have told some fanciful tale of the future and the bigger picture and end goal and he seems gullible enough to swallow bull.
Wilders as dumb as a box of rocks that's for sure. That's why Finkel came back in the manger business bc he saw a real stupid knock out puncher that he took over after a dozen wilder fights who he could control and get him under 2 million a fight while holding a belt ( Who knows how much Finkel takes the actual crooked guy who others had problems with ?) ...lol
I predict they'll do about what Ward vs Kovalev I & II combined did. So about 270,000 - 300,000 or they might not outpeform the first fight and only sale 150,000 considering neither Wilder or Fury is as well known and Andre Ward in the US.
I think people will actually want to see Fury since his notoriety since he won against Klitschko had gone way up. He has been in the British media way more for his outspoken behaviour and subsequent 'redemption' than he was for his actual boxing. I was lapping up all his stuff on Channel 5 and thought the Klit fight was his to lose but the general public didn't really give a toss. That's changed since then and I think there'll be a fair amount of interest in this one, whether that will translate to raw PPV buys for an American show remains to be seen. Certainly netting 100M+ for Wilder off the back of this is utter fantasy (in £ or $) and he'll have to perform out of his skin in this and at least 3 other top drawer fights to even get close. Didn't they say Joshua grossed £40M for the whole year? This is just another of the growing 'Wilderisms' he's spouting more and more often.
It doesn't matter what they sell some Wilder hater can just write 97k on Twitter and that'll be the number on these boards.
