Wilder is maybe not the fraud he was made out to be here but he's not really convinced me he is real deal, made of iron or floats like a butterfly. Has bum feasted and gone life and death twice with the only live dogs he's faced.

That is quite a few great people, they say imitation us a form of flattery. Deontay Wilder is a good fighter, lots of dynamite in his dukes. But he will need a few more years, and fights to accomplish what those greats did. All those fighters that he claimed to be, are legendary, but that is a great group to work towards. If he can beat the likes of Anthony Joshua,Tyson Fury, and Andy Ruiz, he must do it convincingly, and continue to work on the small things. Wilder needs to be himself as a fighter and person, not a personality copy of someone else. Even the great Ali admitted, he used that braggadocio personality from legendary wrestler Gorgeous George, it sold tickets. He does not have to fight retread fighters, that he already defeated, he needs to be a fighting champion, and give every deserving challenger a chance.

Wilder wouldn't last 1 minute with prime Tyson, Bruno held his own while it lasted:

Frank Bruno was head and shoulders above Wilder in terms of chin, poise, skill and technique.

Wilder and Fury are currently competing to be the most delusional athlete on the planet.

I still think Jack Dempsey is his most comparable predecessor. Wilder doesn't start as fast as Dempsey by a long shot, but he throws wild punches and looks for the KO in every round. His power is also comparable to that of Dempsey

He should go into boxing. Is there anybody that would be able to punch above the belt line if the pulled his trunks up high?

Except for, you know, Wlad ( "oh, I'm not ready yet") and Povetkin ("omg its like his heart meds are like a knife") and AJ and fully fit Fury and... yeah, we get the idea.

I'm sure that Wilder would also have fought Louis ... when he was about 50 years old.

LOL no he wouldn't have. I'd take even a 90s Tyson over Wilder. Wilder gets away with a lot of his flaws due to his murderous punching power and this era's heavyweights who aren't skilled enough to make him pay for his errors. You put a decently skilled heavyweight against him and it's a whole different fight. I'd say even 90s Tyson gives Wilder a brutal fight.

My opinion or my two cents is that Wilder could be compared to Rocky Marciano . Marciano was considered awkward and crude in his day. Marciano was tough as nails and confidence was very similar to Wilders. Both have devastating right hands, although it seems Wilder has more one punch knockout power whereas Marcianos was accumulative. Last they both had questionable opposition. Just my two cents.

Robert Wadlow is the lasttt name I ever thought would be mentioned on here lol! Wow! Isnt there footage of him on a basketball court just laying the ball in or dunking without even leaving the floor?

    8' 11".1, & I always loved those human extremes.
But it would not be easy for him to dominate. Even with his record breaking hands & wingspan.
Like other pituitary giants, he would move very slowly.
His ability to jump would be minimal.
He could catch the ball around 11" 1/2 high, but some NBA players could still block that.
I suppose a high arcing pass would be harder to block.
But he is still not tall enough against great leapers to ensure he automatically scores.
He would also be a complete liability on defense, because unless it is a long possession, he could not get down the court in time to block shots. Then he would labor to get up court in time for the offense...

Take a guy like him who is a foot taller or so-with Wadlow's same arm to height ratio...
That would likely make him just standing next to the basket a huge benefit.
