Doubling down on the costume excuse is really something. Needless to say, I’m even less convinced that a rematch is in Wilder’s best interests if this is how he’s reacting.
Partly my thinking too. I think he might struggle to get in with one of the top dogs again anytime soon, so may force the third fight and take the money. I hope not though. He still has tons to offer IMO

No need for the excuses. Just take the L like a man. AJ took a L and offered no excuse even though people were trying to find one for him. Can't criticise him taking the rematch. It's easy to say he shouldn't but his a fighter who lost and wants to avenge that.
Wilder is queueing up for another beating, but I understand why he is taking the rematch. Man wants redemption, and I can respect that. He's still catching another beating if Fury comes in ready.
