They're not really offended by it, it's just another excuse to criticize and hate on Wilder.

David Haye came out with similar comments before the Bellew fight and nothing was said on here by these fairy's with faux outrage pretending that every puncher doesn't go in the ring with bad intentions.

I lost a lot of respect for Tyson talking about eating Lennox children.
Just as I lost respect for Wilders LD comment

By trying to defend the indefensible you are embarrassing yourself. You sound like a complete guttersnipe.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/bo...-Bomber-persona-killer-wants-body-record.html

Deontay Wilder has made the shocking admission that he is ready to kill an opponent in the ring, claiming: 'I want a body on my record'.

The WBC heavyweight champion is one of the biggest punchers in the heavyweight division and has knocked out 39 of his 40 opponents.

The American was due to be in the UK this weekend for Anthony Joshua's unification clash with Joseph Parker. But after deciding against crossing the Atlantic, Wilder admitted he is so focused on victory that he would not stop to consider the well-being of an opponent.

I want a body on my record, I want one,' Wilder revealed to The Breakfast Club.

'The Bronze Bomber, he want (a body). I always tell people, when I'm in the ring, like I am the Bronze Bomber. With him, it's so crazy, when I'm in the Bronze Bomber, I don't really care.

'Everything about me changes. I don't get nervous, I don't get scared, I don't get butterflies, I don't have no feeling towards the man I'm fit to fight.'

Wilder’s comments come after 31-year-old British boxer Scott Westgarth died following his victory over Dec Spelman in February.

Westgarth was knocked down in the fight but eventually went on to win on points before being taken to hospital where he later died.

The outspoken American has come in for criticism for the chilling remarks and WBC preisdent Mauricio Sulaiman said the sanctioning body will now investigate their heavyweight champion.

'It’s not acceptable and the WBC disciplinary committee will look into this delicate matter,' he wrote on Twitter.

'I have known @Bronzebomber for a long time, I respect him and do not believe he could say that he wants to kill someone in the ring.'

Wilder is viewed as one of the most lethal punchers in the heavyweight division with the power generated from his right hand causing a number of his 39 knockouts to date.

His record currently stands at 40-0 with his recent win over experienced boxer Luis Ortiz coming via a tenth round knockout

But the American's most brutal TKO came against Artur Szpilka at the Brooklyn Center in New York in January 2016.

A ninth round knockout left the Polish fighter out cold on the canvas with some spectators fearing for his life.

Asked by The Breakfast Club hosts about that night, Wilder suggested he thought that was 'the body' the 'Bronze Bomber' craved.

'I thought I had one (body) one time, like I said, with Szpilka, because he wasn't breathing when he hit the canvas,' Wilder said.

'Somebody's gotta go. I want that on my record, because when I'm in that state on mind, like I ain't myself.'

What a disgrace of a man !!! Shouldn't be boxing with that outlook !

He's getting proper treatment now and is a genuinely likable person.
And preprison Tyson was a genuine nice guy.
Hed give multiple autographs, buy entire restaurant patrons meals, tip waitresses 100 for a chicken dinner and even the busboys.

I've met him a dozen times and he was always friendly to me.
Even taught me to hook off the jab while slipping the counter R.

Wilder is not like that. He just wants to become more famous and he achieved what he want with these statements. In real, he didn't even celebrate after knocking out Szpilka and waited for him to wake up, while feeling very uncomfortable.

The thing is, Wilder is not a good boxer but he is a fighter and a great warrior can beat a good boxer, if the boxer is not a fighter. Wilder deserved to be much, much more famous and there is one man who can do it for him: Eddie Hearn. If Wilder wants to become great and popular during the last 5 years he probably has in his career, he should sign with Hearn as fast as possible!

I think could word it better .
A simple, ' we know the risks when we get in the ring, there is more risk when it comes to me because of my power. If someone gets seriously hurt or dies its no my problem, it wont effect me'.

That would have probably been more chilling and too the point.
However wilder is an idiot and will come across as an idiot. When approaching a serious topic such as causing deaths in the ring, instead of coming across indifferent to his opponents being seriously injuried, he makes it sound like he wants to murder someone.
Which is idiotic for a host of reasons.
If said for ages wilder should have minders with him to make sure he doesn't make a fool of himself in interviews, he just doesn't have the mental capaticy to not make a fool of himself

Disgrace? Many fighters think just like Wilder (for example Mike Tyson), they just don't say it publicly.

There is an excellent video on this topic:

It doesn't matter who's said what in the past. This is a very, very stupid thing to say. I really hope it doesn't come back to haunt him one day.

Stupid ***** thinks that's how you get people interested. The imbecile doesn't understand that it comes with fighting the best and putting on devastating perfomances. Horrible words from Wilder

There’s a thread on this already but I’ll repeat what I said on there

If he’s said that then what a thoughtless and stupid thing to say at any time but one week after the death of Scott Westgarth and on the day that David Whittom also died from injuries sustained in the boxing ring it’s just a pathetic statement.
