I disagree...it should be in the US. They can work out the logistics around time. I don't know where he is based. But, he's likely to spend more time where his fiancé is.

I disagree. It's not necessarily about how many seats there are. Mayweather vs. Pacquiao produced a live gate of over $72MM in a 16,000 seat stadium. That was more than what was generated by the Super Bowl which took place in 60,000 seat stadium, and obviously way more than any other boxing event has ever generated. Depending on the appeal of the fight, a smaller arena can generate more money than a big stadium.

I disagree no one is going to stay up in Europe to watch this fight, I'm sure American will tune in early to see it though, also wilder isn't a ticket seller wlad sells out stadiums ,wlad is also the a side and spends most of his time spent in Germany which chef verified

People here defending Wilders handicapped comments are only enablers and need to stop, this guy need serious help if he actually believes this

so you are going to compair PBF vs Pac to Wilder vs Wlad.

those 2 guys had been circling each other for 5 years.. press up the butt for that long as well. Wlad is internationally know like those 2 guys, Wilder is not even on the boxing map in the states. People dont know who he is. a 16,000 seat arena with Wilder on the card will NOT gernerate $72M:patsch

Why would Wlad come to the US to fight Jennings? I guess nobody in Europe saw that.

That was HBO. 1 of wlads fights had to be in the US per the contract. plus Jennings had been HBO's man:deal

Yes I can't think of anyone who stayed up to watch that, on the other hand it being held in gent and been shown midday im america is a lot easier to watch than holding a fight at 4am European time, does that not make sense to you

Wilder isn't a draw, on TV or in ticket sales, this fight doesn't make sense to have in America except for in wilfees head

Wilder has no business talking about Wlad, when he's yet to face Povetkin his mandatory.

The Smoking Man is right. Wlad vs jennings was not viewed well in Germany. it was on TV at 4:00am. any fighter on at 4am will lose out. Put the pac vs PBF at 4am in the states and see what would have happened to the PPV numbers. down, down, down

You misunderstood my point. I wasn't trying to say that Wilder can generate $72MM at the gate. My point was that saying that a bigger arena generates a higher gate than a smaller one is a flawed premise. Another example is Hopkins vs. Calzaghe. That wasn't even a PPV fight and it generated well over $10MM at the gate despite taking place in a 16,000 seat arena. It generated more at the gate than Calzaghe's fight against Kessler which took place in a 50,000 seat stadium.
