    Who knows.
He's an unbeaten world heavyweight champion so his chances of becoming the highest paid athlete in the world are a lot higher than average.

The only way that happens is in Fantasyland ( Wilder resides there) and /or if you don't know much about marketing and business model of doing it from the ground up. One cannot just be the highest paid athlete with no PPV's ( cant even do one here /U.S unless he has sellable guys like Fury and AJ) and all of a sudden thinks hes going to walk on water AFTER an also GIFT draw which WILL and did effect his general public perception ,as hes a hard sell as it is ,that fight did him NO favors. .

I don`t he knows how much soccer players are paid at the highest level, there is a player called Sanchez that was bought by Utd and gets wages from them that are through the roof, he gets half a million pounds a week! I don`t think Wilder knows that or could ever top that, Messi and Ronaldo are far richer than Sanchez and are bigger global names than Wilder will ever be, I feel he is talking specifically about American athletes, how could he know what all athletes around the world are paid, he`s odd.

So what if he fights Joshua and wins the fight ?
Don't you think his marketability (as 'undefeated', undisputed champion and the conqueror of cash cow Joshua) might go through the roof ?

I’d sooner not see the fight than see this clown get 50/50.

Now hear me out, of course I want to see the fight, but not at the expense of boxing integrity, which is already thin. What sort of message will this send out to the rest of boxing?

    This covers it better:

Most of windmill's earnings go as pay off money to Dustin Nicholls. Windmill want no more of that legendary check jab. The rest goes to his army of "advisors".

Windmill will end his career with a few hundred dollars. Still that's plenty to buy a luxury pad in Alabama.

Going backwards to regular Showtime after a poor PPV rate but he's about to become the highest paid athlete in the world?

Part of me wonders if Wilder is really this dumb or deluded or if he just says these things to troll people and get attention. He might not even be the most highest paid US boxer this year, let alone highest paid boxer or highest paid athlete.

According to Espinosa it's with the ball park of what DAZN offered for Breazeale but I think you have to take that with a punch of salt, I highly doubt he's getting 10 mill for Breazeale let alone 20 mill. Guess we'll have to wait until the commission purse guarantees are announced. Personally I think it will be 3-4 mill at best.

Not going to happen, there are handball players that make 3-4 times what Wilder makes plus endorsements. And handball isnt such a global sport like boxing is.
