Wilder says Spence was drained

He quite likely was drained…he didn’t look sharp from the start (props to Bud for that too). I don’t think it would have made much of a difference either way. I don’t think he has the skill to beat bud. Not knocking Spence who I think is very good, I just think the gulf is wider than initially thought

 

Wilder has a dent in his head, and was none to bright in the first place. This would explain why he says stupid things.

 

But at least if Spence wasn't a zombie and was in fighting form, it would have been more competitive. Still loses, I agree, but I don't think he gets rattled by every single punch.
