Just read an article on the Sconiers-Wilder fight. Apparently Wilder's trainer was relatively pleased how he recovered from the knockdown. His senses were clear when he came back to the corner and he couldn't tell where he'd been hit. Of course he may be downplaying it, but it doesn't sound like it was anything damming.
Well his trainers were closest to him and would know best, and he was able to continue and damn near kill him, that's whats most important. I don't deny it, it sounds like a close call but it doesn't seem to mean much now.
Here are two fighters who tko'd him in the amateurs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krzysztof_Zimnoch https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evgenyi_Romanov
That punch would have knocked down anyone. Imagine a man weighing 500 pounds putting all his weight behind his shots.
HE wasn't that heavy, but flush shots right on the chin from a heavy fighter are nothing to sneeze at.
Let him ko Wilder then. Nah... he's too dangerous for Wilder and is a full time boxer. Not a cook, or a pastry maker
