I've no interest in a Chisora fight at all. He offered nothing in the Fury rematch and would just be on the other end of a similar beating.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: @ the thought of Chisora fighting for a Heavyweight belt at this point. It would be like Briggs getting a shot. :rofl

Not a bad idea imo. Easy(ish) but acceptable 1st defence. Chisora is well known enough and has been in the ring with some good HW's plus we get to compare how Fury and Wilder do against him.

On the other hand it would make sense to fight a tall guy to prepare for Fury.

    Boxing doesn't work like that. A+B doesn't = C

    Example:

Foreman savagely destroys Frazier and Norton

    Norton beats Ali

    Frazier beats Ali

So we should conclude that Foreman destroys Ali right? Wrong.

    Ali beat Foreman

what you posted is absolutely meaningless and there are 100's examples of this throughout history.

I never said it does. It is still good to be able to compare fighters against common opponents and it still adds to the hype for the fight.

Exactly. It should be pretty clear to anyone that Chisora is finished as a world class threat - if he ever really WAS one.

This said, as much as I think Wilder is a fraud whose record is padded and pathetic, boxing history is littered with fighters who win a title belt then take an easy "stay busy" fight to maximize the income from their title.

Stiverne is best on the back foot. He's no good on the front foot. He had to come forward , out of his comfort zone where he isn't effective. He made it very easy for Wilder.

Chisora is a front foot fighter. He's best coming forward which is why Fury's performance and win over Del Boy is better than Wilder's over Stiverne.

Because it's winnable for Wilder and people know who Chisora is.

It would go some way toward proving that his title win wasn't a fluke or a fix and that he can beat a shorter, slower, plodding fighter who isn't suffering from a condition that I can't spell, pronounce or remember.

He's a champion now. He can't just fight Chisora. He could fight David Price if he was to fight a British low profile. The only British boxers he can fight is Fury and Joshua, which Joshua won't take that fight in 2015, perhaps next year if everything goes well for him. So it's either Fury or a non-Brit.
