Lets face it, boxing is to corrupt. Was really looking forward to this fight more than I have one in years. I wanted to see Deontay whup that ruskie's ass. Even so I still knew he might lose.

I honestly don't see what is not to like. Seems like a good guy, I like his story with his daughter and all, he's a Christian, he's a breath of fresh air after the American heavyweight division has been an embarrassment since Tyson and Holyfield got old, (you know its bad when old man Holyfield is giving the East European guys the biggest challenge of all the American guys. I still cringe when I think about Shannon Briggs stumbling around the ring thirty pounds overweight against Ibragimov.)

And he seems to genuinely take the sport seriously while a lot of those guys show up for a paycheck.

I acknowledge, his competition hasn't been the greatest and he could still prove to be another Michael Grant, but it hasn't been the dreck most people claim either in relation to what is actually out there in the division now. Certainly no worse than George Foreman's prior to fighting Joe Frazier. I like guys who can end a fight at any moment.

Sometimes I get the feeling American boxing fans simply don't want to get their hopes up about him remembering what Lennox Lewis did to Michael Grant. Truth is though Grant fought a very stupid fight against Lewis and was never the same mentally. And I think Wilder is better.

Hell even if he does turn out to be another Grant, he at least has got me somewhat interested in boxing again. Hell Tyson Fury has too. I'm no big fan of Tyson Fury but at least he's animated and interesting with a personality, these Eastern European guys who have been dominating the sport are boring, although I have nothing against the Klitschkos particularly.

Looks like fight is called off. Shame. Well I hope Wilder fights Ortiz at least. No more Molina's or Duhaupas Please! 36 bouts please fight another top contender. Only 1 top ten fighter on your resume is PATHETIC.

What a tool Povetkin is. His career is most likely over, blew a title shot being stupid. If I was a fan of his I'd be royally ****ed.
