Wilder: Still a Fraud, Still Glass-Jawed

Liakhovich is a lazy fighter who relies on a decent chin instead of good defense. And, he's 'shot' because of it. I hope he stops fighting.

 

I do too. I'm a fan of the guy and he really needs to stop fighting before he scrambles his brains. He has a beautiful wife to go home to, and he could probably start training fighters and/or promoting eastern european fighters. He has nothing to be ashamed of. He won a world title, and his fight with Brewster was one of the best HW fights of the last 20 years. Time to hang em up champion :deal

 

I don't quite understand where the talk Wilder vs Haye comes from. Who says he should fight Haye?? Wilder is fairly exciting, he obviously is scared of punchers but sooner or later the big fight will happen and it will be an entertaining affair.

 

See, that would be awesome.

I don't make excuses for guys who make a living taking punches.

When it's proven that he has a glass jaw, that's when I'll believe that he has a glass jaw. Why would I listen to you? You've never fought professionally.

 

Wilder is like GG, Broner, and Russell Jr. You won't know how good they are until they are hit with a good shot, weather the storm, and win.

What more evidence do you need? The guy can't even take the punches of street car conductors and cab drivers he has been fighting. The guy doesn't have a Chin. Period. Doesn't mean he can't have some modicum of success or that we should hate the guy. Just means that his Chin is going to be a huge liability and god forbid they put him in there with either Klitschko. He hasn't been properly developed and it is going to show when he gets in there with a seasoned pro who isn't shop worn and shot to ****. Those of us who are old enough to actually understand Boxing have seen this story several times before. Duane Bobick and Mike Grant come to mind. I hate to even say Gerry Cooney because even he wiped the floor with the bums he fought and was never knocked down or hurt before the Holmes fight. Cooney would wipe the floor with Wilder.

None of this means I don't think Wilder is a nice likable guy. This isn't an attack on him it is reality. Glass Jaws exist in Boxing and posts like yours are why the ChinCheckers WILL continue to talk Chins on here and educate the uneducated on Punch Resistance.

 

Vlad did mention a possible fight with Wilder in the near future, after he knocks out Povetkin of course. Wilder could not land his right hand on Vlad during sparring for the Wach fight, but Vlad could land his punches on Wilder. How in the Hell did Wilder get ranked when he has not fought anyone in the top 30-50, perhaps 100?! Since he is ranked he should fight someone who is ranked, esp. someone who earned it. However, this will give Vitali or Vlad a chance to knock Wilder out..........

If Bambi on Ice ever fights anyone with a pulse, he is getting smashed to bits. Maybe in about 2 years time that may happen- once his handlers have milked him out and are prepared to cash out.

 

Coming from the racist that claim GGG can beat anyone even if he has not fought a top guy yet. Wilder scares the hell out of you.
