Indeed - and arguably Whyte was damaged goods, too. And it's fine to enjoy fighters who aren't that good - I've always enjoyed Chisora, for example - as long as we try not to get too carried away (in a Redbeard/Dubblechin kinda way)
Theoretically it still could happen, just for the potential car crash of it. Yes Wilder is pretty much done, but Joshua is far more prone to being caught and hurt than Parker. I think we can safely say that Parker was just all wrong for Wilder. While AJ, who is a far better boxer than Wilder, could theoretically get caught and hurt, even if he dominates Wilder round after round, even in a one sided fight, the possibiliy of him getting hurt, particularly late in the fight, is always there, far more than Parker. And we've seen AJ slow down when he gets hurts and gasses which could make it easier for Wilder to finish him. I mean Wilder can't deal with anyone who can move and just put rounds in the back from the outside. But we've seen AJ become much more hittable if he gets hurt and slows down.
I doubt it, somehow... It's not as saleable now and Wilder's not going to take a smaller cut (as he'd have to for it to happen now, unless Wallin wins but that's much less likely). Besides, unlike Parker, AJ sets up and genuinely bangs hard - Wilder's not going to risk ending his career face down... His attempts to step up now, I think, are over.
You're probably right. I'm just saying, it's still somewhat appealing just to see if Wilder can actually land something on him. I'm not calling for it, just saying I wouldn't mind it. But yeah Wilder's obviously pretty much done, shame it didn't happen sooner, before Wilder became totally shot.
**** I was gonna get on Parker. A few of you had mad belief in him. What were the results of the fights?
There was nothing wrong with the officiating, and he couldn't show any more aggression because Joshua is a far better boxer than Deontay "One Trick Pony" Wilder.
Maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't but it doesn't change the fact that Wilder got humiliated by a guy Joshua schooled.
Wilder has always been the most protected and overrated HW champ in history. Hence why Wilders best and only notable win in Ortiz (who also was overrated) never beaten anyone of note and went life and death and was dropped twice by Charles Martin. AJ has always been levels above Wilder and Wilders team knew this. Hence why Wilder ducked so many offers to fight AJ and sack one of his managers when attempted to make the AJ fight. People will say Wilder got old over night, truth is he was the same limited, poor technical boxer that looks for that one knockout punch. Even when Wilder was young he was losing multiple rounds to low level guys such Spzilka and Washington.
Dude it just stupid. You can write same shitty post when Wilder will be 50- "if he catch him"... Yes. But he cant catch pretty slow on feet Parker who is shorter and slower than Joshua. Who beat not soo hard. Yesterday Joshua would kill Wilder. Even his Sharp jab would be back up Wilder and destroy his face. Wilder always was same. He even cant learn use jab because he is to afraid to not being ready for right hand when he would use left more. One trick pony. Very good trick but still.
Mate Parker jab, that was never great to start wit, was shaking Wilder off, AJ could very well KO Wilder with his jab. Just look at Wilder legs and this is the whole story. This is 100% the same Wilder that was labeled as the Number 1 by some fans on here. This is the same Wilder that fought Fury, that fought Ortiz, Spilkza, etc, etc.
Some people are in schock probably. We must wait because same persons who think Joshua ducked Wilder, Wilder got death touch and kill anybody not named Fury, same persons who make vote who got better resume 15 percent for Wilder- thoose "Smart" ppl now need another excuse. Now Parker is better than AJ. Now Wilder become horrible old... Now... We just wait. They need one more shock after Usyk vs Fury fight and then maybe they start thinking right and stop writing this ****...
