    Not sure about a week

They've been at the "Wilder has a glass jaw, Wilder is a fraud" rhetoric for YEARS NOW, starting from 2010 I believe.

It will take a LOT longer than 1 week I can assure you.

    This is honestly gold hah.

I pretty much agree with you, but the way in which Fury beat him more decisively he deserves a modicum of credit for, it was a pretty good but not great performance.

The only surprise in the Heavyweight division too me is, how bad the division has been since the retirement of Lenox Lewis. Let's not act like the Heavyweight division is bad because of Stiverne and Wilder, the division as a whole has been terrible for years. I can think of several Heavyweight fights of recent memory that were much worse than this fight, in fact this was the best Heavyweight fight I've seen since Perez vs Mago.

Bottom line I didn't realize how limited Stiverne is. And and many other fans didn't either.

I am not sure that Bermane wouldn't get owned by Alexander Dimitrenko. FFS, he didn't use or show any attributes to get inside vs a taller fighter.

Stiverne wouldn't cut off the ring, use his jab, zero head movement, low work rate. He slowly plodded forward, followed Wilder around with his hands up and waited to counter punch. It was a very horrible performance.

It is odd that a previously hard-hitting HW didn't KO an obvious glass jawed hype job like Wilder. There is a lot of money to be made with a fraudulent American "HW champ," hence all the lengths his management has gone to, to protect his fragile mandible. Could they have arranged for some additional protection in this fight? It's not out of the realm of possibility.

Let's be clear, Wilder deserves the credit for going the distance and standing in there with Stiverne, who is a big puncher, for 12 rounds. But let's be honest here. Wilder is 6'7" and 219 pounds. He would get chopped down by any number of big heavyweights. Even though he was never really hit by Stiverne last night, he still looked fragile, not because of his jaw necessarily but his legs are spindly. I sense that guys like Povetkin, Wlad, Pulev, Perez, etc. full blown heavyweights, would blow out Wilder.

I am happy for Wilder, though. Great story about his daughter and regardless of what happens to him in the future, he still fulfilled his promise to her.

The man could have gone another 12, that's the truth.

    Is this thread serious???

I was confident Stiverne was going to win. No doubt that Wilder was protected until last night: never challenged by a top 25 fighter, never hit with a real punch, never had to use his length.

But last night he fought a top 5 fighter, got hit with a few real good punches, used his jab like a very good big man does. Changed the narrative of this fight from "this fight can't go 12" to "good big man beats good small man".

Wilder showed he's a top 5 heavyweight and deserves credit.

Perez would beat Wilder???? That's nonsensical ...Wilder uses his jab and either stops Perez or cruises to an easy decision.
