Povetkin tested positive for a banned substance. I don't blame Wilder. Wilder would have already had the fight right, and could be working on scheduling his next fight. Instead he hasn't gotten paid, because Povetkin tested positive. So that is a big pay day out the window. And now he is fighting a lesser opponent for less money at a later date. So Wilder does have a gripe in terms of being compensated. Maybe he had plans to fight two more times after the Povetkin fight this year. He lost out on earning potential.
