They will be if they start staging big heavyweight PPVs.

You forget, Al Haymon was behind nearly EVERY Floyd Jr. PPV. First guy Floyd thanked postfight for the past decade was Al Haymon.

Wilder's been drawing a million/two million viewers consistently. Time to start selling PPVs.

Because immediate rematch clauses guarantee you start getting stripped of titles the moment you win them all.

Tyson Fury was stripped within a month of beating Wlad, because Wlad had a rematch clause.

And Povetkin is the mando for Joshua.

    Yeah Floyd Mayweather.

PBC started on showtime and CBS with the aim to get fighters onto ppv and it flopped big time. Lost an absolute fortune!!

Mayweather's model on promoting his own fights was unique but I ain't convinced Haymon was the brains considering what a disaster PBC boxing has been.

This here is...talk. That's what Wilder has done. There will be no email sent, no numbers offered, this is just talk. I'm not believing Deonkey until I see Eddie and Shirley shake hands at a table.

We all know what Wilder is playing at. He doesn't want Eddie anywhere near him, so he did an 'offer' so that Eddie didn't need to come and negotiate with them in the US so they can argue over splits via email instead and end up not agreeing terms.

Good move by Haymon. He's doesnt care if he loses the money so why not believe in Wilder ? AJ is big but he's nothing to be scared of.

I believe if promoted well this fight could sell maybe 1.5 M PPVs in US alone.

    1.5 million PPVs?
    I’m guessing closer to 750k

Sadly, Wilder had to sell Alabama to get that money.

So they make this offer now, just as Mando's are about to be called?

I'll believe the offer, when we get the fight.....

How do you suddenly just make $50,000,000 appear?

Hopefully the fight gets made straight away, but given how long this first negotiation has taken, Hearn now has time to consider what he wants to do in response.

When something seems to good to be true, it probably is.

50m out of thin air? If I was Hearn I wouldn’t be buying it!

It's almost as if they expect the hype in the US for GGG v Canelo, to transfer over to this fight.....Which is unlikely to happen.

The other worrying part is that the offer requires the fighters to fight in a venue of 'Wilder's choosing'.

The major money generated in this fight comes from the UK, and European, markets.
The second this fight is on at 2/3 am over here, the UK PPV will cut massively.

Hard to believe that they wont have a rematch if the fight sells well. And if it doesnt, then Hearn took no risk. If AJ feels confident and he seems to be I say take it.

    They're meeting tomorrow.

Wilder KOs Joshua in the U.S.

    Wilder wins all the belts.

Joshua has to get back in line.

WILDER on his way to 50-0.

They'll have a rematch. Just not an "immediate" rematch.

What does it matter? AJ still gets $50 million even if the fight makes $0.50.
