This is all con games to protect wilder and his team, they know that hearn would never take the no rematch offer so wilder will save face saying that he tried and joshua is scared. they waited two weeks because time is also ticking for the contract for joshua and povetkin so hearn has to get the more realistic fight done. this is all a game for the public.

Rich people don't just throw away money. The devil will be in the detail and I'll wait to see what Hearn says before I get too excited

Its the HWs bro, biggest show in town. I know a lot of people who wouldnt watch boxing unless its a HW fight. This fight could tap into a larger market than your regular cinco de mayo ' mexican war'

If he walks away from $50 million guaranteed with an upside for more, he's not only scared, he's an idiot.

PBC was only a disaster for Waddell and Reed. It was a great success for Haymon and his fighters. Waddell and Reed gave Haymon over $500 million, since they had an understanding that Floyd was going to have his last fight on PBC, but it wasn't in writting.

Haymon was definitely behind Floyd's showtime contract, but the difference is Showtime wasn't dumb enough to give Floyd and Haymon a blank check.

Floyd Mayweather makes 10 times what Joshua makes. And Floyd doesn't sell out stadiums. He doesn't fight in Europe. He puts 18,000 execs in comped seats in Vegas.

The money generated from this fight comes from the U.S. PPV which is three to four times what UK PPVs charge.

The fight will be on U.S. PPV. They'll charge $100. They'll hype the hell out of it.

Al Haymon sold Mayweather. He'll sell Wilder-Joshua.

This isn't the 1930s. You don't need to sell 80,000 tickets to make money. You can make the same selling a couple thousand US ppvs.

You guys just bought the Hearn mantra hook, line and sinker.

Mayweather received a record guaranteed purse of $41.5 million vs Canelo.

I'm having a hard time believing AJ and Wilder can get a guaranteed $50 mil each.

And why can't the same be said for the 12.5 mil offer to Wilder?

By your logic, you should take a fight you think is winnable for $10.

Exactly. So there should be no whining about rematch clauses or locales.

Neither care whether there is a rematch. Let's get real here. If they put on a good fight the fans will be clamoring for a rematch. Fighters are always going to go where the money is. Assuming the fight is a good one, the rematch will be big money. No need for a rematch clause. They'll make it happen if the money is there.

    Reality check.

Wilder is nowhere near as big as Floyd Mayweather.

How the **** you going to compare a guy who sold out Vegas and brought in record gate receipts numerous times to a guy who couldn't sell 10k seats at the Barclay centre in NY.
