As wbc champion since 2015, with 7 defences (forget about quality for a min). With 39 KO's, knocked out everyone hes faced as a pro ( iam counting RTDS ) with a highlight reel comparable to any current boxer. Yet less popular than spence or crawford, probably mikey garcia too.
Why is he unable to reignite the passion and support of the heavyweight fans of america???

No sir,King Kong Ortiz was the best out there. When AJ fought Wlad , WlAd hadnt hurt anybody in the ring in 5 whole years. Go check it out for yourself. When Deontay fought King Kong , King Kong was still dropping everyone he fought. Big difference. Stop your unreliable anti Deontay agenda NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

    Because he's not really good.

But if he beats Joshua, then that'll all change.

Joshua and specifically Hearn doesn't have confidence in beating Wilder though, I'm really not sure why. They're literally scared shitless of a one dimensional brute like Wilder, why is that?

Ortiz was his first top rated guy in 40 fights!!!!!!!

Face the facts, I am not saying he can’t turn it around from this point forwards PNavy, just saying why he has yet to become a superstar as he should be by now if he would have stepped up after his first 35 fights, lol,

    Take it easy.

I didnt say i love deontay, iam a fight fan not a fan of many fighters, its the fight itself, when all the BS is done its the battle that grabs me, hype is hype. its a genuine question, respect for the reply man. What you think the reason is?

Iam pretty much of the same opinion but at the same time there should be enough to market to fight fans, could it be the limited interest in domestic US fights at heavyweight in particular? If so is this based on quality oponents available?

    LoL,

What truths are you talking about now?

This thread is about why Wilder isn’t a bigger draw in the states?

IMHO it is because boxing fans are aware he has a less than GREAT resume for 40 plus fights with no losses. Stepping up against Ortiz was a great first step up, if he continues on this course he will become a superstar so good for him, NOW that he is finally stepping up after so many years.

Way more to it. Just look into how the Hearn family got their power and who they are connected with. Wakey Wakey people.
I better keep it cool they like throwing me into the hole when their political agenda is exposed.
    Peace
