Takam's big wins are over Thompson and Michael Grant - two 40 year olds who never won anything. Takam is ordinary.

And Thompson has had two title shots (and got knocked out twice) and he's lost multiple eliminators. I'd take Shannon Briggs over Thompson, and I don't think Briggs should be anywhere near a title shot, either.

    Takam and Thompson are GATEKEEPERS.

On the other hand, Glazkov is an undefeated Olympic medalist. Browne is an undefeated power puncher. They are fine for an optional defense. At least Browne wasn't brutally knocked out in his last high-profile fight (like Takam was).

    Let new fighters get opportunities.

    when did Thompson.lose and eliminator.

And if u believe Glaskov is undefeated than Helenius schooled Derrick Chisora wit one arm.
Glaskov lost clearly to Malik Scott and to USS as well and should've drawn with Rossy.

As for Takam.....He beat Mike Perez as well.

Glaskov has been gifted his ranking on so many levels

People are underrating Takam on this forum. He's pretty good, top 10 heavy easily.

Glazkov is undefeated. So is Browne.

And Takam didn't beat Mike Perez, he drew with him after Perez nearly killed a guy. I don't see how that draw helps Takam since Povetkin has starched both Takam and Perez since then.

I'm not some huge Glazkov fan. But he's up. So is Browne. They aren't retreads. They are undefeated and they are in line for title shots. So let them have them.

Thompson had multiple shots and never came close. Takam would've earned a shot with wins over Michael Grant and Frans Botha if this was 1998 and not 2015. Otherwise, he's failed when he stepped up.

Let new fighters get their shots.

Glazkov arguably lost to fraud Malik Scott, fat journeyman Dereck Rossy and glass jawed Steve Cunningham.

Browne hasn't fought any top contender yet. His best win is a 400 pounds James Toney. He arguably lost to Rudenko, who was schooled by Hughie Fury.

Takam's draw Perez > Bigger than Glazkov and Browne record together

Thompson 2 KO vs Price and 2 wins vs Solis > Bigger than Glazkov and Browne record

I actually believe Wilder might beat Glazkov. I wouldn't mind Browne, he can brawl but is very limited. If he gets to Wilders chin it will be an easy night.

There's no way Glazkov could beat Wilder. He's basically a basic, average fighter with a good rating. Wilder should actually fight that guy (if Glazkov doesn't just sit around waiting for a paycheck with Wlad).

I don't have a problem with new blood getting shots.

But Brazeale Washington or Martin have all done as well as Browne and GiftKOV hasn't legitimately beat any top 30. & arguably lost to a bottom 50 in Rossy.

If it is GiftKOV....good....He doesn't deserve to be on Wlad resume anyway.

Thompson's "wins" over Solis aren't bigger than anything. Solis was a complete embarrassment. It didn't matter who was in front of him, he quit the rematch because he got tired. (And neither guy was exactly lighting it up with the number of punches thrown.)

Frankly, those fights forever eliminated both guys in my mind. Those fights are unwatchable.

IMO, Wilder is going to beat anyone they put in front of him who isn't named Wlad Klitschko. I don't expect any of the others to actually beat him.

I think Wilder is the second-best heavyweight around right now. And I think his fights are very entertaining.

I'd just rather him defend against guys who are undefeated and next up rather than guys who were knocked out when they stepped up or have been there before (or both).

If Wilder beats a retread, they'll just say others beat the guy before. If he beats an undefeated guy, they'll say the guy sucked and should've lost before.

Wilder isn't going to win with those who hate him, anyway. So he might as well fight the guys who have the best records and are the highest-rated available.

If that means Glazkov or Browne, fine. I don't see either beating him, regardless.
