Wilder tried to take Fury out, unlike GGG vs Canelo

You can't deny that's what happened. GGG was so discouraged at his inability to land clean on Canelo (due to the footwork, due to the upper body movement, etc) that he didn't even try to do what Wilder did to Fury which would have been to take large portions of the round off to try and land a big shot.

Golovkin is an excellent boxer that boxed Canelo's head off. Why would he resort to trying to fight like a spaz when he was winning anyway? You'd have to be really dimwitted to fight a guy like Canelo with big loaded shots; his style is made for exploiting that.

What else could Wilder do? Try to box?

He wasn't ever "winning" vs Canelo lol. He didn't win either fight, we know this. And we know Canelo won the early rounds in the first fight, so Canelo was winning before GGG made his comeback in the middle rounds.

Your comments are too funny lol. Saying that GGG boxed Canelo's head off lol. Yeah he boxed Canelo's head off out of sheer desperation after being made to look silly. GGG got made to miss more and had more of his punches slipped by Canelo than any fighter he's ever fought by a mile.

G definitely didn't box anyone's head off in the first fight, lets be clear about that. G was the aggressor in the first fight and Canelo was the boxer who put on a clinic in frustrating G off the backfoot. In the 2nd fight, Canelo came right at him Mexican style, which gave G opportunities to land the jab with more regularity. It's just so funny that G was the one who called for Canelo to fight Mexican style in the rematch, and now you claim G was the superior boxer. (well in the rematch I guess he was, Canelo was the only one engaging) The first fight was the opposite, but Canelo performed much more skillfully as a boxer in the first fight than G performed in the rematch. G is a good boxer but not an excellent boxer. Canelo is an excellent boxer which he showed in the first fight. G showed he had some boxing skill in the rematch, but it was very basic and reactionary to Canelo pushing the pace, whereas in the first fight Canelo was the clear ring general who dictated where the fight was fought early on which frustrated G in G's attempts to cut off the ring. Canelo was never frustrated at any time in the rematch, so when you talk about who is the better all around boxer, the answer is clear. While G gets a lot of priase for his jab, a jab is required when you don't have the speed or skill to land big flashy power shots. Canelo has a great jab himself he just doesn't use it as much as G needs to because he's too busy landing power shots. Canelo doesn't need a jab to keep you off, like G needed in the Canelo rematch, since he can use upper body elusiveness and evasion techniques to make you miss and set up counters.

And yet 80% of people that picked a winner picked Golovkin as the winner ;) You seem to forget this.

You can make a case for Canelo to have won some early rounds ... but not the fight.

 So now beating the crap out of somebody is "desperate"? Keep trying.

Canelo got hit more and got hurt more by GGG than any other fighter he's ever fought by a mile.

Yes he did, let's be clear about that.

Golovkin chased him all over the ring and trapped him on the ropes several times. He also outlanded him.

Golovkin was the superior boxer in the rematch too. He fought off the backfoot and repeatedly made Canelo miss wildly. He caught him with great counters and, what's more important, he always contested centre ring. Oh, and he outlanded Canelo AGAIN.

Golovkin is a better boxer than Canelo. I guess you're petitioning to change the meaning of "good" and "excellent" then.

Yup. GGG is the better boxer, because he outlanded Canelo both times and landed way more punches to the head.

His "power shots" have no power. What's the point? Canelo lands a "power shot" to the body and gets smashed in the face by a straight left. I guess you think the body shot is better. I dont.

Golovkin does that too. I guess your Can-e-lo vision goggles edit that part out.[/QUOTE]

Canelo toyed with G on the ropes in the first fight.

G didn't go back to the ropes in the rematch because he has no rope skills. G just doesn't have that in his arsenal. He stayed in center ring because he doesn't know how to fight off the ropes.

 If getting punched on the schnozz is 'toying' with somebody then, ok.

He stayed centre ring because he wanted to engage. When Canelo came forward to attack he defused the attack with 1-2 steps back and then counterattacked or stepped to the side to turn him and reset him. Canelo went to the ropes because the ring wasn't 50 ft wide and he had nowhere else to retreat to.

DESPERATE is implying that GGG "beat the crap out of Canelo". Keep trying.

    GGG can box

Wilder has to try and take your head off or he loses.

Maybe because Wilder wasn't getting caught as often as GGG was.
