fury is a different animal in terms of popularity and exposure to the Klitschko days, I think Hatton is right it would do huge numbers it on sky.

You can continue to pretend it's not, but it's a huge fight in America and the UK. You'll be proven wrong when the figures are announced. Sit tight.

If Sky put it absolutely everywhere over the next 7/8 weeks, promote the **** out of it and guarantee it’ll be on at a decent time then it’ll do huge numbers. Maybe not quite a million, but late hundred thousands.

We’ll wait and see. I do think you’re overrating him based on the things which his fans often talk about (like being on Joe Rogan or doing a Robbie Williams record) and not looking at the basic numbers. He’s never sold that well.

I’m not denying it would probably be the biggest fight Fury’s had in terms of numbers but they’ve not given themselves long to promote it and it’s the weekend before payday in February for a middle of the night fight featuring a guy a lot of people don’t seem to like much.

Good to see this finally announced.

Fury still steadily on the road to become the richest and the most popular boxer in the world.

Its going to do just fine and make everyone some money
But 1 million UK buys at 4am is just a little bit too high
Hope it does however as if two UK fighters are drawing such numbers then we are doing fine

Fury has the huge Wrestling fanbase behind him as well now - his popularity is through the roof in the USA where Tony Dosh PPV is known as the man who was flattened by a little fatty then ran away for 12 rounds from the little fatter fatty in the rematch.

The people's champion bringing the best fight in the Heavyweight Division to the people.

Well yes and you gotta really laugh at BT for basically having those ridiculous US ppv's vs poor opposition with no guarantee they would get the Wilder rematch. I mean how dumb do you have to be to allow that to happen.

Clever from Fury’s point of view though. BT have to stump up the money big time as you know Sky will be gunning heavily for this fight. You can say many things about Fury but he’s no idiot.

I am sure the contract was with BT, so someone there has screwed up royally.

Probably got 87 buys for the Wallin fight. They must have done a wedge in.

I actually think Fury will lose the rematch the more I think about it. It was a miracle he got up from that shot last time, so he needs 36 minutes of perfection as it wont happen again.

Also with the judges scorecards, he will have to be more aggressive, which plays to Wilder

May be hard to believe for us in the UK but millions of Yanks tune in to watch wrestling mate and they all know who Tyson Fury is.
