Hayers is talking absolute crap again. There was a majority on both forums saying Wilder would ice Fury. It was mainly due to the fact most thought Fury was finished after seeing him v Seferi and Pianetta. It's clear Hayers is easing towards a narrative of "Wilder was never that good anyway" because he's worried Fury will win and become two time ring magazine champion. Also, you'll notice most predicting a Wilder KO don't like Fury. The heart very much rules the head on here. Personally, my official prediction is a late Fury stoppage because he's likely to come in above 260 and he's a more hurtful puncher at that weight which was evidenced against Chisora, Hammer and Schwarz. Wilder is wide open and Fury hurt him weighing 254. However, I'm not ruling Wilder out. I don't think a man alive can take a full blooded straight right from Deontay.
That's because it never happened. It's a Tony Hayers spin diminishing Fury's performance. Watch out for the "Wilder was never that good" narrative if Fury wins. He's brewing it as we speak.
I am sure I posted that Wilder would KO Fury and nearly all of us on here posted the same. The odd few posters did think Fury would win but not many before the fight.
So we've gone from 'everyone' saying it to 'majority' saying it? The reality is lots were saying Fury would win and the bookies had it as close to a 50/50 fight as you could remember. Indeed both men were favourites at different points in the build up, but you're not much of a favourite when your opponent is 11/10. But your story is that Fury completed some herculean task, because it fits your fetishistic narrative that he's the greatest fighter of all time.
It was the general consensus on both forums. Hayers has hit a few dead ends recently in current boxing affairs so he's re-writing history.
I’ve found one prediction poll going back through posts and it’s 65% wilder 35% Fury which I would say was the overall consensus with most people thinking it was too soon for Fury especially with the poor warm up fights.
Which sort of backs up what I was saying. The narrative that ‘everyone’ thought Wilder was going to stop him is actually one whereby just over a third of people on here thought Fury would win. Odds-wise Fury going into the first fight was the same price as Spurs are to win at Southampton over the New Year. Hardly the sort of result which seems beyond the boundaries of the imagination. And that’s the trouble with Fury fanboys. Everything has to be so clearly overrated.
Do you ever take a day off? Even over the festive period you are still an angry little cretin. Seriously go buy a hooker or something, you must be so backed up.
More nonsense because I had the temerity to suggest that saying ‘everyone thought Fury would lose last time’ wasn’t correct.
An absolute creep of a man. Proven wrong time and time again, only to squirm like the little snake you are.
How have I been proven wrong? Try to explain in a way that doesn’t involve personal insults if that’s possible.
People betting on boxing doesn’t reveal that much, they are UK odds and the people betting on them are from the UK - the UK fighter will usually have slightly inflated odds due to that. I thought Fury would lose last time and I think he’ll lose this time.. hope not though, would love it if he wins and sets up an enormous fight with AJ.
