It was supposed to air before Christmas. https://www.itv.com/presscentre/press-releases/itv-announces-brand-new-factual-series-meet-furys# Reading the press release sounds like it's the same thing rebranded. Must have delayed it to coincide with the Wilder fight.
also Ben inadvertently answered the question of why fury boxed orthodox not from southpaw stance in the first fight with all his talk of the jab being a weapon to occupy wilders right hand and keep it high and keeping wilder’s right hand in more of a defensive than offensive position.
Wilder connects and it is lights out for anyone - still no idea how Fury rose from the canvas. Don't particularly like Fury's style of boxing myself but hope he pulls it off. Surely you want the Brit to do well mate and get in the ring versus your man.
Due to the Umar thread i came across this vid. This content is protected Fascinating looking back, his mental illness is so obvious with good old hindsight. Comments about the HW division and Wilder are also interesting. This interview was back on 2013.
Wilder's team want him to come in above 220 pounds. We know Fury can do the rounds heavy. IMO Fury's best weight is 260 - 265 pounds. I'll be interested to see Wilder's gas tank rounds 8 - 12 with the additional weight after punching fresh air for the majority of the fight, if indeed Tyson survives that long. Wilder finished the first fight pretty exhausted.
This content is protected I don’t think I can take anymore Gareth A Davies interviews with Fury. In the words of the inimitable Bricktop “Pull your tongue out of my arsehole Gary....”
"I’ve often in the past gone into fights not being in one hundred per cent condition and not one hundred per cent mentally right as well. What can I say? I had a few problems going on at the time that I’m not going to go into." - Early 2012 before he fought Martin Rogan. Anyone paying attention knew that kid was struggling.
Firstly, he lies all the time. Why wouldn’t he lie about this? Secondly, who is 100% physically and mentally all the time? It’s a meaningless statement and doesn’t suggest anything out of the norm at all.
Yeah Wilder finished the fight exhausted because he was in a fight... for 12 rounds... at a fast pace... What do you expect? Wilder to look as fresh as the first round? Then he wont have put in any effort will he? You think sparring 24 rounds prepares you for 12 rounds professional bout? No it doesnt... 12 round championship bout is a different story... you are both pushing harder and getting hurt more which impacts your gas tank at a faster rate/ Wilder is still a human being... he isn't a demigod, or a marvel character... he doesnt have nanotechnology to increase stamina... Jesus man.
Wtf are you talking about? My point was it'll be interesting to see whether or not the added 15 - 20 pounds extra weight on the first fight will affect his stamina.
Actually, I did. I said I think Fury's best weight is 260 - 265 which is likely where he'll come in for this fight. He's fought at a good pace at that weight many times without stamina issues. Strange guy.
