    There doesn’t seem to be much of a buzz. Two weeks out and not many talking about it in UK that’s why I created the thread. This is supposedly the biggest fight of the year and or in years depending on who you listen to.

    I can think of times when a UK boxer heading for a HW title shot in the US would be massive news and all the boxing world here would be talking of, but there's a lot going on in UK boxing at the moment. Not sure that this fight has really captured the UK fans imagination, at least as yet.

    Yeah true, brexit and what not. In hindsight would this weekend have been better for the fight, international week? Not much else to talk about? BT has got the champions league in the week building up to the fight so would expect a massive drive from them then. Wonder what SKY Sports News will be like in the week leading up.

    In fairness promotion ramps up in the week before.

    That said, there was non-stop talk about Joshua Klitschko for ages before their fight. I think this has just slipped off the radar with all the promotion being in the States.

    The difference there is Joshua-Klitschko was on Sky. For all their faults when it comes to boxing, it can't be denied that they know how to create hype and sell a fight.

    Hurd v Welborn is a lamb to the slaughter. Hearn has took a lot of stick for matching people a lot closer in ability than this. It’s a massacre. Welborn gets knocked out within 2.

    I can't wait, it's great to finally see 2 top guys of the division take each other on. Ticket sales and promotion of the fight are irrelevant to me good on these 2 for taking on such a big challenge a fight that you would think boxing fans would like to see.

    Haha It is so bad I'm just laughing at it, I can't take any of this Fury Wilder card seriously.

    If Hearn stuck this lot on an AJ undercard he would get slaughtered, Hearn would be getting death threats and all sorts.
