The fight will go where the money is and the Americans will control the promotion again- a deal will be done. The camps/fighters have already worked together and more importantly they actually like eachother, so I can’t see a problem. If Vegas are interested thats where it will be 100%. Showtime/Haymon have money invested in Wilder and want him to carry the PPV torch- no way they allow him to fight in the UK when the real PPV money is going to be generated on US primtime. Uk PPV numbers are already guaranteed to be massive. We are more than used to the early hours US fights and the first fight was a cracker so everybody will jump on Board.
If he accepts it against Wilder then why demand 50-50 from Joshua is the question you should be asking. I doubt Fury would accept 60-40 from Joshua, why?
Latest IFL video. Hearn confirms he’s going to bid for this. I’d expect a deal to get thrashed out now before it gets to purse bids. Hearn says Wilder or Fury can have 60/40 vs Joshua. He’s encouraging fighters to go to purse bids. Says neither has a contract. Go to purse birds you’ve got DAZN, SKY, BT, ESPN etc who will all bid. He’s got a point. Still expects a deal to get done between them though.
Fury should ONLY take this if Wilder agrees to come to Britain. The entire world minus five gits who post here saw Fury win, and he is the rightful WBC champ regardless of what happens next.
It’s one hell of an offer. The next couple weeks are interesting. The most likely is the rematch but I’m still of the belief AJ brings in more money and money talks, he’s also got all the belts bar 1, so it’s not just the money it’s the legacy too. Will Wilder’s head be turned? Does he want to chase shadows again all night? Will Fury accept a 60/40 with AJ for more belts and more money than a 60/40 with Wilder for one belt? I just hope that 2 of the 3 definitely fight next.
Yeah, is a solid offer. I do always doubt the validity when he makes these things public to be fair. But same as you, I just want to see 2 of the 3 fighting next and not all three in nothing fights
He’s a fascinating fighter, Wilder. He looks an awful lot worse than he actually is. His jab is pretty sharp and hurtful, he has unbelievable speed and power, he’s got a solid chin on him, too. He looks so vulnerable at times but then he throws a ridiculous power shot out of nowhere. He can get completely outboxed but is as dangerous in round 12 as he is in round 1. I can’t help but admire the lad.
He's only going to have gotten better since the first fight. He has more tools to improve on and adapt with than Wilder, so I think he'll win even more cleanly this time RE Hearn\AJ in this. My cynical take is that he's potentially offering 60\40 now to put the rematch off. Obviously the winner of that has an even stronger hand in negotiations given how well the first fight went.
This content is protected Interesting little video, Hearn couldn't be any clearer on what he has offered and what he is offering. A little line or two that seems to have gone rather unnoticed is that Fury spoke to Hearn directly and Fury asked Hearn for an offer of a FLAT FEE, NOT A PERCENTAGE. Now, maybe a ploy by Fury, to "expose" Hearn and say "Hearn only offered me a flat fee.." so he can't be accused of ducking or avoiding an AJ fight but I don't believe that's Furys style to be honest but it's a possibility. FW is banging on about 50/50 and saying no fight unless that figure is met but the man himself apparently asks for a flat fee, something isn't right here. Hearn can be a little bit mischievous so maybe he knows that little off the cuff comment will get back to FW and cause a little stir or it really is the case and Fury is trying to strike his own deal without FW involved. It might have been a test of the waters, just asking Hearn what he would offer so he could compare that to Wilders offer or use it in negotiations with Team Wilder. Also I don't know if Fury is actually signed with FW, what sort of deal it is, who gets what so it might be in Furys interest to strike his own deal. I have nothing really to say on Wilder, Wilder or his Team (or both) obviously have no interest in fighting AJ, I personally don't believe Wilder wants to fight Fury again. Maybe that's why the WBC have had to get involved and order the fight because Team Wilder don't fancy a rematch with Fury, I believe they wanted to fight Breazeale and Team Fury have pushed the WBC in to a decision. It will be really interesting to see what happens now, theoretically FW could try and drag the fight to the UK maybe with some BT backing and then it's on BT PPV, something Wilder wouldn't want, somebody else could actually bid (Hearn, Sky, DAZN) and then they have zero control. I think Wilder and Fury will have to strike a deal now, Team Wilder have no choice, Fury will get 40% if it goes to purse bids anyway but they run the risk of losing control of the fight. I'm interested in your thoughts.
