Please no. This will only fuel the delusions of Wilder and the 12 fans he has left, it will give them a hollow reason to say Joshua is ducking Wilder. The sooner this fight gets made the sooner we can move on from Wilder and his fraudulent reign. Throw him his $10m flat fee, retire his sorry ass and get that belt back in circulation.

 

Let him,but Hearn wont give him Joshua unless he faces a Parker/Whyte/Chisora level fighter.You cant get the money ticket,if you dont work hard for it.Their is so many options Eddie can plot out for AJ.Such as Bellew beats Haye,then Bellew faces Parker for their HW title,Bellew loses/wins retires,or Whyte faces Parker,wins the title,then faces AJ in a unification and rematch,or screw that,get Parker and AJ together for a Unification.What i think Eddie Hearn should do is,Isolate Wilder,with that beloved WBC title.This will make Wilder more mad which is what we want,deprive him of the payday as he dosent deserve it.AJ had to go through blood,sweat and tears With Klitschko.Wilder has to do that,then gets the ticket to fight the Golden Goose.

 

I see your argument, I really do. The fact that Wilder can canter his way to a huge payday by only fighting B/C tier opposition is grating. But at this point i just want to see his reign ended as quickly as possible because as long as he has that belt he will still remain relevant and certain idiots will have a cause to call him the #1 HW.

If $10m is the cost of retiring this fool then so be it, Hearn threw $5m at Martin for his belt so double that for Wilder's isn't really a big deal.

 

if you want this fight to be great wait a year or two.. Both are still inexperienced. Let them get better and you have a better fight.
