https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSDeRN8TtCM But no this is not the right time. This will be the fight when the smoke clears, AJ also only has 17 fights. I reckon late 17 early 18 is the best time.
Both need to be built up a little more. Fight could be Huge in a bout a year or so after both are more proven.
Wilder's footwork is the worst in the whole division, it's simply atrocious. And he's a sloppy puncher too. Arreola has been stopped in 6 rounds before. Wilder couldn't even knock him down. Anthony Joshua would MURDER Wilder in 1 round
Wilder's footwork is undoubtedly poor but he does move quite well, other than Fury he's the most agile heavyweight in the division and that could give Joshua some problems as I don't think AJ copes with movement very well. Yes he is very sloppy when he unloads and leaves himself open to being countered, which is fine when against a smaller opponent but AJ is only an inch or so shorter, he'll be within reach of Joshua when he opens up. Wilder is also poor on the inside, doesn't know how to clinch and usually just puts his hands up with his back to the ropes, he'll get torn apart if he does that against Joshua. Joshua will obviously be far stronger in any clinches and will out muscle the far lighter Wilder. I personally think Wilder will give AJ problems with his jab and movement, I think Joshua will need to chase him down. But he will do eventually and when he does Wilder's defensive flaws will see his weak guard ripped open up by Joshua's power and we'll see Wilder mowed down by the juggernaut that is Anthony Joshua. The fight itself won't happen this year. AJ is probably fighting Stiverne, Wilder may have to deal with Povetkin which means AJ will need to deal with Parker. The fight will happen in 2017, if both still have their titles.
Wilder never steps up. LITERALLY NEVER. Wilder will continue to fight C and D level journeyman, eventually losing motivation and losing to one of them, then winning the rematch and continuing with the same bum every 3-4 months HW champion approach. The WBC are getting paid out of this and are not going to suddenly enforce real fights on him. Most likely scenario- Wilder spends the next 4 years as WBC champion, perhaps loses once and wins a rematch to one of the bums. He compiles a record 11 wins and 1 loss over those 4 years. Then someone younger and more marketable comes along and the WBC feeds him to their new preferred champion, he loses and then is forgotten about. That is Wilder's future in my opinion.
