id say it will end up 60 40, cant see wilder accepting less than 40 but maybe he would go to 35 with other guarantees on the rematch and whatever

Wilder v Ortiz had 14,000 turn up i think ?. AJ v Parker 80,000. 70-30 is right, 65-35 is being kind to Wilder.But i don't think he's worth more than that.

 

60-40 is fair. Anything else and one of them is getting too much.

Won't get made at that split. I can't see Wilder accepting less than what Parker got. Wilder won't get 40% either though, if Joshua refused to give Parker 40% no way he would he give Wilder 40%.

Hopefully they'll meet somewhere in the middle as they did with Parker. But I am not overly confident that either side really want it next. Wilder's side have already talked about Breazeale and Kownacki, Hearn had talked about Miller and Povetkin. They'll go through the motions, but won't come to an agreement and both fit in another defence and continue to build interest in the fight.

 

Couldn't care less. The fight won't happen at 20-30% Wilder. I want to see them fight. Wilder has something Joshua should want. Joshua's probably already sitting on a couple of hundred million in the bank so it's hardly going to have much of an affect on his finances if he picks up a 20 million pound pay cheque instead of 25 million.

Stop making excuses for fighters to avoid making the fights fans want to see.

 

Agreed, no way Wilder should accept less than 30%, any offer below that is quite frankly a low ball offer as they were willing to pay Parker 30% or more.

Joshua isn't that wealthy, he might of made $100 mill with endorsements, but I doubt it and even if he did, once he's paid Hearn, McCracken their cut and paid his taxes he won't see $50 mill.

But on the flip side, 20 or 25 mill is not much difference why bother even going for the WBC belt if Joshua can make 20 mill fighting anyone in the division. Is it worth the hassle if Wilder and Haymon make the negotiations too difficult and drawn out. Yes Joshua wants to be undisputed but he is younger than Wilder and may get other chances later on. 30% for Wilder could be a bigger payday in one fight than he will make for the rest of his career combined. Wilder does have some leverage as a belt holder, but if he over plays his hand, Hearn and Joshua will just walk away and continue making $20 mill per fight or more against anyone else while Wilder will make 1-2 mill per fight and still be looking for that huge payday.

 

True. The couple of hundred mil is probably a massive exaggeration on my part. Never the less he's clearly loaded and few million either way is neither here or there in reality for him. He will also probably get his biggest payday of his career fighting Wilder and will make his future income bigger if he wins.
