It's an interesting time to ask the question.

Personally, Joshua looking less than stellar against Parker only reconfirms my views on how good Parker is. It shouldn't have any bearing on how well Joshua might do against Wilder, since there's no guarantee that Wilder is better than Parker, though many automatically assume he is.

What should have a bearing is Wilder's win over Ortiz, whom I rated as a top quality proven fighter. That fight proved two things to me: Wilder's ring IQ is a lot better than I thought, and Wilder's power is legit fight ending. I don't think it'd be enough to beat Joshua, whose fundamentals are just a lot tighter, but it narrows the gap a lot, in a fight I previously considered an absolute blowout.

Well, I want Wilder to win. This is the surest indicator of an AJ win.

Its still 50/50 for me can make cases for both men and that's what makes the fight so intriguing, It could be an easier nights work for either fighter or the hardest fight of their career. I think the mental state they enter the ring with will be the biggest factor, It will be by far the biggest fight of their careers with so much on the line and at stake.

Did anybody else pick up on AJ's post fight interview where he said he was more interested in "getting better" than getting all the belts, and that getting better and improving makes getting belts easier, this said to me he doesn't feel ready for wilder, He also went on to say he dosen't have time to learn hes been thrown in at the deep end and learns on the job etc, all subtile things that tell me in his mind he feels hes not as developed as a fighter as he wants to be or knows he can be, however this also may imply while this is the case he is prepared to step up regardless. Very interesting imo the fact he kept bringing these points up tells me its on his mind.

That's what it's really all about. Each fight gives us more data to process

Wilder's reach is going to be more of a problem than most people think

Joshua will still KO Wilder easily in the first four rounds.

AJ beats Wilder no question about it. Wilder is a limited fighter who is easy to hit

While Wilder is getting underrated over here and could certainly give Joshua problems with his athleticism, intensity and of course the brutal right hand, i think Joshua would have an easier time than he did against Parker, Wilder
would engage more and AJ would have more opportunities to counter with his combinations, on top of that Wilder is
a much bigger target than Parker and isn't exactly known for his defense or chin.

Wilder has a huge punchers chance though and a lucky punch and knockout win for him wouldn't really surprise me, imo it is a 60/40, maybe even a 65/35 fight in favor of Joshua.

Its either AJ early KO or Wilder mid to late KO.

AJ has bad gas tank and needs to lose more weight but he wont do that i guess.Hes bit stiff and robotic and slower than Wilder but also better boxer overall. Its 60/40 AJ for me atm but getting closer.

I think AJ is more polished boxing in offence and defence and this will be the point of difference in the fight. Wilder will need to land his big punches but if AJ just blocks or avoids them through his footwork (compared to wilder) he can counter big. I think aj ring generalship and presence in the ring to always be in range will make wilder more hesitant to engage in a wild KO punch

Joshua has learned from the Wlad fight, and Wilder has even less of a chance now, if that is even possible. Joshua is pacing himself much better, and is far more defensively minded. While Joshua used to be willing to trade and take the risk of being countered to land his bombs, he now does not even give his opponents that opportunity.

Wilder has been using the tactic of letting superior boxers like Szpilka, Washington and Ortiz wear themselves out, and than Wilder can capitalise when their defence becomes sloppy, and leaves opening Wilder can expose. Joshua will dictate the pace of their fight, and will not tire, which Wilder desperately need to happen for him to half even a very slight chance of winning.

The vastly superior Joshua will outbox Wilder early, find the openings, hurt the sub standard skilled Wilder, and stop him in the first four rounds. Then people will say Wilder was a overhyped bum, and point to how Joshua dealt with him so easily as evidence.

Wilder is a completely different proposition, carrying different risks.

Nothing’s changed really. Wilder gets outboxed. I think Parker’s fundamentals are a lot better, and he slips shots very well. Wilder, not so much.

I can see Joshua getting off his bombs, and that will be the game plan, as Joshua’s team will know that Wilder will eventually land something big.

How would Wilder not find Joshua with an overhand right?

    How would Joshua take it?

Chances are Wilder starches him, but he also might get caught with a big uppercut while the his neck is being held.
