Yeah Fury's next opponent is pathetic. You'd think Joshua getting stopped by someone that was supposed to be a gimme would be the wake up call these guys need to make the big fights before they disappear.
Well that's Arums point albeit those in the know, knew as Joshua ought to that Ruiz was never a gimme opponent.Trust me on this Furys next opponent from Norway is it?ain't gonna be much of a danger.Ortiz on the other hand could still spring a surprise on Wilder given he's the better boxer despite his age.
I'll be somewhat surprised if he actually fights Fury again despite the noises being made by both camps and will be even more surprised if he beats him without the help of a robbery decision.
Fury loves beating up dossers. I think he gets plenty of **** for it. Everyone did for his rise to contender status minus Chisora and being - lol - less than enthusiastic to face Price. He did want to fight Haye though. Then post Klitschko he fought joke fights aside from Wilder. He's never run a gauntlet of good fighters.
I like Fury but his next fight there no free pass never heard of the guy he's fighting,or for Wilder fighting the old man again. Wilder should have faced Whyte it's the same as when Wilder never faced Povetkin. Wilder does not step up he only takes fights he thinks he wins easy.Wilder does not give the boxing fans what we want to see.
Wilder free passes on weak opponents Fury free passes on weak opponents Whyte, Parker, Chisora, Rivas
Fury's career is incredibly weird. They fought pretty much nobodies until he fought McDermott with most people having him lose that fight. From thereon on out they seemed very risk adverse in selecting his opponents despite them going up in quality. Didn't want to fight Price unless it was for mega money - he actually told me that himself in a Carribean takeaway in Manchester - but rolled the dice with the ever a danger Chisora twice. Wasted time becoming Irish champ. Wanted Haye for big money. That fell through and then he went after Wlad but without doing anything dangerous to do so. Had no desire to fight Ustinov for some reason in that period. Then post champ had picks too very overmatched fighters in shot never that good really Pianeta and some undersized Albanian before taking on danger man Wilder. Looks great despite all his problems and then goes back to fighting non-entities. It's bizarre.
Yes your 100% right Andrew unless the best fight the best it kills HW boxing. We could have some great HW fights but the best fights are not getting made it's all about the ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo in there record.
I hope Grandpa Kong gets lucky and lands a good bomb on Beyoncé WindMiller and puts him to sleep, Kong hurt him good in the last fight but couldn't finish him...
