And Wilder once fought with a torn bicep and a broken hand (in the same fight - both required surgeries to repair) and still scored a KO win. Haye and Horn lost.
And Lucas Browne fought with one arm for 8 rounds after breaking his hand and thumb and still scored a KO win. The difference being, unlike Wilder and Browne, Haye and Horn fought world level opponents in their prime.
Povetkin receives way too many unnecesay punches. Always. When you do that vs someone like wilder, you get ktfo unless you get an extremelly lucky puch.
Duhaupas didn't even get dropped, despite taking nearly 1000 punches from Wilder. And Povetkin has better defense + better durability than Duhaupas.
No the difference is nobody ever scored a ko in a title fight suffering from a torn bicep AND a broken hand. Guys have "quit" before when they injured their leg or had stitches. (See the examples you provided.)
Povetkin - Wilder = Povetkin - Duhaupas. Povetkin by 6th round KO! Wilder couldn't even drop Duhaupas after 11 rounds of flush power punches. Ergo, he isn't getting an early KO against Povetkin.
Let me remember. As far as I know wilder has koed every fighter but stiverne, isn't it? I didnt watch the Duhaupas fight, and I dont need to, anyone with this % of kos will ktfo of someone who eats too many unnecessary punches like povetkin does. Povetkin's chin is not ClassA chin imho neither, but I dont want to argue about that, because it is just a feeling. As I said, a lucky punch would be his only chance. PS: And I love povetkin, dont misunderstand me I use to root for him, but that's what I think about him fighting wilder.
Wilder didn't KO Duhaupas! Wilder didn't even drop Duhaupas. He got a standing, premature gift stoppage. Wilder landed nearly 1000 punches on Duhaupas for 11 rounds and still couldn't even drop him. I suggest you actually watch fights, rather than seeing knockout percentages from boxrec / wikipedia. There are many guys Wilder didn't KO, but was gifted premature stoppages. Povetkin has a better defense and durability than Duhaupas. And if Duhaupas can take Wilder's punches without seeing the canvas even once, then so can Povetkin. Povetkin won't even get hit as much anyway in the 1st place.
Man, dont let your hate blind you. Wilder has REAL power. Very real, actually. If it was a videogame, I would report him for using a cheat code. You dont like him, ok, that's fine, there arer some fighters I dislike too, but... mmmm you should look for any other thing to harass wilder, power is not a weak spot in his arsenal tbh. And as I said, at least in his latest fights, povetkin is receiving way too much, maybe for the sake of the show, ok, I understand and I thank him for that, but doing that vs wilder has only one end.
I didn't claim he doesn't have power. But that his power is overrated and that his power wasn't enough to even drop, never mind KO Johann Duhaupas. Povetkin has better defense and durability than Duhaupas. Ergo, Povetkin can ABSOLUTELY take / evade punches from Wilder too.
I think you get paid a dollar every time you mention Duhaupas in a thread. Because you bring him up every time you post about anything. Good luck with that, I guess. Is there a minimum number of times you have to mention him a week, or is it just cash on each mention?
Or Wilder fanatics get scared when the name Duhaupas is mentioned, knowing full well the overrated power of Wilder was exposed massively by Duhaupas when he walked through near 1000 punches of Wilder for 11 rounds without suffering a single knockdown. It's no different from Wilder fanatics claiming Wilder can KO anybody with a single punch or that he has the greatest punching power in boxing. I'm just doing the opposite, exposing Wilder's lack of power / exposing Wilder's power to be overrated. Same with Golovkin's power being exposed by Canelo Alvarez when he absorbed everything Golovkin dished out for 24 rounds. I don't like it when boxers have their punching power, overrated through the roof. Be it Wilder, Golovkin, Kovalev or anybody else for that matter.
